Shawn,

You stated on the first page that you already have a Geo Ca and Kalk reactors...are you happy with there performance? I'm looking at the same thing for my 220.

Yes I am using a GEO CA and Kalk reactor on my 92gal right now that I will be taking over to the 600gal... I like them both, the only thing I don't like is the Kalk build up around the MJ1200 mixing pump...

I think this whole thread is bogus. As we all know if there aren't any pictures than it really doesn't exist. ;) Come on Man ! At least throw us a bone with some pics in your gallery ! ! ! Maybe you blew all your dough on Diamante glass (sp?) and Tunze's and don't have any left for a Digital Camera.

ROFL, yea yea, Trust me, this is not bogus, my pockets (well credit cards) have holes burnt in them :( I have been working a good bit, and I have a new puppy at the house... I do have a Canon G3, and will have pics posted very soon...

You know, if you'd done this correctly, you would have used your credit card as a punch card. After 10 punches, you get a digital camera free. :D

Well I used my CC only because I get points, but I pay it off every 2 to 3 wks...

I was talking to a CORA member at our local fish club meeting and he said something about using the Great Stuff Foam on the bottom
I thought that this stuff was not safe for fish. There is a foam product that is used on outdoor ponds that should be used instead. Sorry do not know the name.

This thread has some good info on using that product

1700 Gal Tank

Sorry about the lack of updates... I have been working alot and this past Friday my wife and I were in a hit and run by a drunk that is uninsured... I have been dealing with the insurance companies and have been sore... I am going to get started on some things tomorrow, Tank is still due on Thur... Starting today I am off work until Dec the 22nd... I should have some pics posted later tonite or sometime tomorrow...

Sorry to hear about that. It is bad enough to get hit by someone but it makes it even worse when they are not insured. I hope you and your wife are ok.

Thanks Travis, We are both fine... No one was hurt, good thing the police got to him before I did... It's one thing to hit me but then take off... After we were hit and I make sure my wife was ok, I was about to exit the car when I noticed that the person who had hit us was taking off North bound, I followed right behind as my wife called 911... We followed for a good bit until he turned right (heading east bound) where the police caught up shortly after, I was not going to let him get away from me unless I ran out of gas, or the car became un-drivable... We are going to see the doctors tomorrow...

Hey Man, take care of yourselves, any car accident can have a lot of injuries associated with it that are not immediately apparent.

Im glad you are both ok.....

be careful lifting that beast of a tank.

Yea, I know :( I was hoping that the pains would go away after a few days, but they seem to be getting a little worse... I am not in unbearable pain, but, I should prob have it checked out just in case...

Thanks pwhitby...

I am not planning on touching the tank... I will be the one behind the video camera taping the 4 or 5 guys that the moving company is going to send to this beast down into the basement...

Would you mind letting me know how much it is costing you to have the moving company move the tank in for you? Feel free to pm me if you don't want to disclose it publicly.

To have them meet Will at the house and take it to the basement it will be less then 200.00 (that is including insurance)... This is just a standard moving company who has moved tanks in the past... My first call was to a piano moving company and they wanted 500.00 :eek2: just from the driveway to the basement...

I figured less then 200.00 is not that bad as its insured and will be easier to get them on site rather then 10 club members (who all can't fit down the stairs at once)... Movers have the tools and knowledge and do it all the time and its safer I feel...

Shawn, as you know my tank was build by Will. It was only one week late and I did get 10% off for being late, but I wanted that in my contract. As of to your tank I hope you will have it on the 8th, but I quastion that. Good luck.

I am glad I didn't make you a bet... The tank delivery (skimmer and controller) has been delayed until next wk... I don't have details yet...

I did get my T5 lighting in... Since I have that in hand I can start on my light rack...

I went to get my camera and I seem to be missing my 1gig CF card... So I need to find that (or any of my CF cards) in order to get pics... As soon as those are found I will get some pics up...
