7096 Availability?

It is not possible, only 3 complete units exist and I have one, Tunze France has one and Tunze Germany has one. They are in production and should be available in late March. Reef Specialty does have some on order but they will be delivered at the same time as everyone elses.

Awww come on. France doesn't need one. Have them ship it over here and I'd be more than happy to test if for you!!!! :lolspin:

Roger, Why do they not say that on there Website, They make you think they have them now!!! Sorry for the false alarm, But RS should state that they are taking preorders no?

I don't know why they have it listed, it may be a glitch on there end. They did recently move.

Price is $164.07, it is in production and the packaging and manual are ready so we should meet our mid-late March target.

latest news out of Germany :

unfortunately it is on delay. We have to reengineer the product and Mid-April is only an approximate time.

Where did you get that info? I have a working sample here and it works flawlessly and I have not heard anything of this from Mr. Tunze or Mr. Hug. I would have to believe since I am in active talks with programmers trying to get a Mac version developed that I would be the first to know such things. My guess is if you did get such info it was from one of the secretaries who have learned this is the best way to be left alone and not get an email every day about when they will get a controller.

I'm just shocked at the price. I hope you have a huge first shipment because I can only imagine a large demand at that pricepoint.

Any other distributors here in the US we should put our pre-orders into other than RS? Nothing at all wrong with RS, but they might run out.

One other queston, if we do have a dedicated PC can you hook the streams up an adjust on the fly to see your modfications as you change them?

While we may have more demand than anticipated, in general controllers are not a supply problem. I wouldn't get overly concerned with doing a preorder as shortages if they exist will be short lived. Pumps are more difficult to keep up with because of the number of parts. The 7096 is just a board, housing and cables.

When you make a modification to the program you first save it to the computer and then you upload it to the controller. You can't see the results of the program until it is uploaded to the controller. It is pretty simple you just click Upload to 7096 and it is virtually instantaneous. You can save multiple programs on the computer and select different ones to upload as you desire.

Not to hijack the thread but

Not to hijack the thread but

Roger show off the yellow ritteri!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i keep reading that on your profile and i keep meaning to say something.

Ahh, I need to change my profile. It died a couple years ago. It lived about 6-7 years and then the chiller failed. It got very stressed, divided, and within about 6 months, both halves died. I don't even have a reef tank anymore.
