How much did that sump set you back? There's no way I could justify the cost of a premade sump. It costs me probably $55 or $60 to make my main Sump.

Thanks fish for your concern my son is doing good ,, Wisconsin sounds cool ,, this time around I didn't want to spare any expense !! I love my sump he's a local guy who builds them here in Utah it set be back about $500 and I picked it up locally

I thought about making and selling sumps myself.

Well my order came from BRS , so I can get the rest of my plumbing installed ,, however BRS shorted me on a couple parts ,, which sucks , they came on a Friday and they close early ,,

I was able to get what I could plumbed last night

and was able to get water in the tank to test the quietness of the system and it turned out awesome

Nevermind that red pipe sticking out the top , I wanted all the return line to pass through the overflow tower but the parts they shorted me were required to get the return line plumbed so I had to use my old style over the top to test the system but I'll call them Monday and see what they can do, all in all I'm really happy with how my system turned out !

Where are u going to put your skimmer? Doesn't look like you have a lot of room left. The dreaded check valve ; 0. Looks like you are using ball valves. I would have went with gate valves. Easier to control. What size is your sump again?

Fish I have plenty of room for a skimmer ,, also I like the cpex ball valves nothing I'm running will require as precise flow control that I'd need a gate valve ball valve will be just fine ,, my sump is a 30 gallon sump

I like to over size my pumps a little so if I want to add things later I can. Gate valves are much easier to dial things in with. If I remember they are also cheaper on BRS anyway.

Hello guys !! I'm very sorry for the long hiatus I've started cycling my tank , I started using Red Sea reef mature pro kit, i first cured my rocks in the tank , that's why I had cardboard around my tank to not grow any funky algea,,

I had a ammonia issue with reef crystals and have since switched salts ,,

I've been happy so far with RS coral pro salt I switched to
I have a video I'm going to be posting doing a review on my skimmer Bubble Magus curve A8 (D.C. Pump version of the curve 7)
I love this skimmer it is a plus one for my tank and it's perfect

The tunability of this thing is absolutely incredible !! And silent !! This thing is so quiet I can barely hear it with the cabinet open !! So anyways here's an update of my tank it is cloudy be cause of the bacteria bloom (which is normal using the Red Sea mature program)
