Well the zoos forum confirmed it is the paly toxin kind of coral...and dangerous... has me a bit worried because I did a siphon today and some water from the tank may have gotten in my mouth. Have to find an-auto siphon method.... can that stuff be present in the water??? I feel ok.....
As for the tank... cycle is pretty much done and I got my first inhabitants today.... 3 astrea snails... 3 nassarius snails... and a blood fire shrimp for looks.... little guy ate from my hand (glove of course).
Input appreciated to put worries to rest... dont' want to die from this coral.![]()

actually siphoning gas this way will kill you faster![]()
try using a power head and a 1/2 inch piece of garden house--does great for pumping water out of your tank or sump
BTW
I advocate but don't always do it--and have regretted it sometimes but you should wear gloves when doing things inside the display tank and or refugium

Hi Capn'.
I do wear gloves yes. Sorry I should of been more clear... the siphon was for the drip acclimation of the inverts... not pumping water out. Any suggestions... and should I be ok healthwise? I want to get a sundial snail to eat those things.

I would not boil the rock---just pluck them off with tweezers
BTW
I have had these in my tanks and never had a problem with them other then them trying to take over. If they start to take over I just pluck them out of the other corals with tweezers
