75g sps build thread

Well got back from my honeymoon last night. I returned to a happy but dirty reef tank. The glass was covered in algae. All my sps but 2 (which had STN already) did great. In fact there is new growth and improved color!

yup, seems to be a theme. I think it says "keep your hands out" loud and clear! lol congrats on the marriage! Hope the honeymoon went just as well!

Yep just going to let it be. Water changes, feed and top off only from now on. The color increase was great to see. For the first time I am getting blues on something other than my superman!!

Ok new pics up as promised. My photo skills I think are getting better but my camera just cant get the colors. Enjoy.

Thanks chrishayes. Yeah these are the better of the pics she took to, its the thought that counts. Yeah the wall will be getting fixed in the next few days. More detailed pics taken by me coming soon.
That il do Donkey that il do. LOL

yeah Love them hondas. see me in the pic driving my s2000.:smokin:

Allsps, your skills are getting better but youre right, the camera just is letting you down. Are you zooming to take the pics? That makes for some terrible pictures on not so good cameras or even good cameras really. Things are looking much better in the new system but that could be your improving pic skills, but I doubt it! Nice work.

Yeah I am zooming in on the pics. Trust me the corals are looking better in the larger tank most of my sps have not looked this good in a while now. I am also a Honda guy, love Civics. Here is my 98 EJ1 that is my DD and project.

I bought it 100% bone stock and have done all the work to it myself except the tuning. In the works right now is a turbo kit then a built motor to try for 350-400whp.

Well went to the LFS and got a few things since the tank is doing so well. I got some more crabs and snails for CUC, a nice powder blue tang for $45 and a nice purple tipped acro for $36. Pics to come.

I will get better ones later as well as up dated shots.
Here is a little up date on the 75g.
STN has pretty much stopped all corals that had it died except some of the red planet is left and that large acro that I cut up left behind a healthy base that is starting to shoot up new branches. Not sure how the red planet will do time will tell. The algae bloom has pretty much passed but there is still bubble aglae, I have always had some. A week ago I started to get cyano on the sand in the left corner where there is low flow and some on a piece of LR. I think this is from stopping the MB7 and it should soon pass with some control. My No3 which went up to nearly 20ppm has now dropped to under 5pmm with weekly water changes and just from the tank settling down. Sps colors are lightening up in a good way bringing out blues, purples and pinks. Growth has been very good in the last few weeks with many corals showing new growth.

def coloring up, how many megapixels is your camera? Zooming in for shots never worked for me and if you dont have a tripod its impossible to keep in focus while in zoom. If the mega pixels are 8+ then just take a macro photo and crop it. You will get a sharper image.

Pretty much the same as it was before, my left hand is just heavier lol.
Oh yeah forgot to mention that I found red bugs on one of the frags I made of the large acro that was in the the middle of the tank. Not a good thing to see. I removed the frags right away and did the inspection of all the other sps for red bugs. I did not find any others so that is good. I dip everything new in the tank so I dont see how I got some red bugs again and on the oldest sps in the tank. I have yet to see any signs of red bugs since and I check daily.

More pics taken today. I will take some top down pics and a pic of my new PBT later.
