A Few of my SPS

Stone, the tank is looking amazing. Your colors are out of this world.

I hope to eventually take pictures/grow corals to this level.

Sucks about the fish loss... Any ideas to what it possibly could have been?

Thank you. You're silly. Your photos looks great! I have no idea why they die. They were gasping a few minutes after I had turned off the pumps. I guess, it's another mystery about this crazy hobby. I was hoping to see an upgrade with your move. Looking forward to 2015 when you upgrade. :-)

very nice and the MI is simply gorgeous

Thank you.

That Moorish is doing great in my tank. One of the few fish to survive a pretty rough disease breakout about 5 months ago. Still an aggressive eater, still one of my favorite fish. Good to see you got another one. Moorish idols are just one of those fish that I'll never be without.

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles, but am glad to know that everything is well. Again, that is the only fish that I wish that I had kept.

How is the moorish Idol doing ?.....allways wanted one but affraid for my SPS.

The MI is "well". However, it continues to eat only Nori. Since putting it back in the DT, I haven't seen it nip on any of my SPS. Hopefully, it will remain a model citizen. You should try it. If it starts to nip just give it "time out" like I did.

Thank you.

Thank you so much, Stone. Again, your tank is an inspiration. The frag tank is going up in 2 weeks hopefully.

And I completely understand that "mystery" we get in reef keeping. I went through multiple random deaths in coral and fish...

Either way, the tank looks great. I went through again and it even caught the GF's attention. Appears your tank was "shiny" enough... :D

Where did you get your moorish idol? ... You mention before that you almost never visit your LFS . I don't see it much around here and when I do they are not in good shape or not eating. I guess I have to wait for the right one.

Thank you, Fail_sh3d.

After 5 months, the MI has decided to eat frozen foods. Since last week, it ate everything that I feed the other fishes. :bounce2:

I bought it at 1 of the LFS. This particular store is a trans shipper. IMHO, if the owners put some effort into their livestock, they could easily be the best distributor on the East Coast.

From what I've read in the Fish Forum "The Moorish Idol Thread" it helps if you have a lot of sponges in your tank. Good luck with your search and hope that you will find a healthy 1.

Here are some frags that I just received...

SC SOTR

SC Tierra De Fugo

I was advised this is another type of SSC, but for now it looks like a CC Red Oxide.

You will love the Orange Passion. It such a highly coloured piece. Stands out in my tank. It also EASILY colours up (at least for me).

The TDF is a VERY beautiful piece and really turns into a beautiful coral once it grows up. Very jealous you got this piece.

The SC's Somewhere Over The Rainbow...Is this lineaged to WWC? I've ALWAYS wanted to see this piece grown up and coloured to its potential. Be sure to keep this one happy. :D

All nice additions in good hands. :)

Nice!!! Can't wait to see these a grow out.
Orange passion is one of my favs..

Just read through the thread. Very nice collection of SPS. Love the new frags. The Orange passion is a sweet acro.

Is the SC Orange P the same as the RR? It's a beauty.

Thank you guys.

I don't have any documentation to support the true lineages for these recent frags. I got carry away with typing SC. :sad2: I was advised that the Orange Passion and the TDF came from SC. From reading about the "history" of the Orange Passion, SC got it from RR. You're right, Sahin. I was also advised that my SOTR frag originated from WWC. Again, I have nothing to support this other than what the sender has advised. :worried2:

beautifull frags!!!...It does not matter the lineages. they are just beatifull.

+1!
Great additions nick!:inlove:

nice pick ups Nick!!!!! why haven't you been given TOTM yet?????

Thank you, guys.

SPotter - Perhaps, I need a new home and tank like yours ie documentation of a build from the start? I'm wondering if Reefmutt is eating acros yet. LOL Congrats on a beautiful home!!

Hey Nick....nothing like a new tank for a new home and build thread to go along with it!!!! Although your tank is the definition of perfection, it would kill me to see you take it down for a move!
