Thank you. I need to add another small portion/structure on the top/left side. Just need to find the right pieces.

Regarding the transfer. Due to limited space, I could not maintained 2 tanks at 1 time. So I bought a Rubbermaid stock tank. What I've learned after the fact was, due to the chemicals/materials that were used to make these stock tanks I really needed to give it a good rinse ie vinegar bath. Lack of knowledge, I gave it a quick rinse, wiped it down with a towel, and transferred all of my livestock. Everything dead within 2 days. Fishes were dead in a few hours which I scooped out. Those that died overnight spike ammonia which lead to the loss of my colonies. I only have a few LPS and miraculously the only SPS that survived is my Oregon tort. Restocking will be an extremely slow process. This may very well be my last update for a long time.

I had a similar thing happen to me many years ago while moving to a new home..
It really is devastating..

It was an expensive lesson, but I can only look and focus on the future in hope to come back stronger and better than before.

Steve, I don't know how much truth there is to the soaking of vinegar. This is what 1 of the LFS had shared with me. I know that the demise of my SPS were the ammonia spike from the fishes that died which I didn't see and didn't scooped out.

Matt, yeah, I was devastated. I blame myself for the lack of researching that I should have done. Rest assure, with encouragements from folks like yourself, I will be back!!

This hobby is so full of highs and lows..
When the tank is doing awesome, life is beautiful but when something crappy happens, life SUCKS!!
You can't do anything but learn from the mistakes and not look back..
Your rock work is really nicely done and the tank can only get better...

OMG. I am sorry to hear that. On the plus side, it's a good thing the slowest growing SPS survived.

Stone, I came back to this thread for inspiration for my new tanks' scaping. Can you tell us how you built those structures? and how they are able to hold up with all that branching?

I threw my old rocks away as well. Current tank, stand and rocks were mine from 8 years ago. Only new items are the canopy and modifying the stand.

I hope that you're able to see something that you like and approve.

All structures are built/bonded together with epoxy.

Balancing - you will need to play with your structure(s). It will depend on the weight of the rocks that you will be adding. Example would be standing on a tight rope. You have 5lbs on your left hand, you will need to add 5lbs to the right. Be sure that your structure(s) are balanced prior to putting in your tank. Depends on the height and weight of your structure(s) it may crack your tank if it falls. PM me should you have further questions.

You have an innate sense of aesthetics that's quite wonderful. It shows up in the rock structures as well as selection and placement of corals. Did your wife allow you a hand in decorating your home as well? (assuming you have a wife).
