Haha good luck! If you want CUC to deal with diatoms though, don't buy Nassarius.![]()
On the way to glory again nick buddy:beer:
Awesome pics and i can't wait to see the fts.Corals look goooood![]()
I don't see one dino in that picture!!!! your corals on their worst day look 1000x better than my corals on their best day!!!! Keep up the great work Nick!!!!
Corals look stunning! Didnt expect any less from you though.
With regards to Siporax; all my friends in the UK use them and there is a long thread which started off from my tank thread; no one else has reported issues with Dinos or Diatoms as far as I know.
What are you feeding the corals and fish on a daily basis?
Nick, I was just thinking about the Siporax and silicates. Would there be a reason that Siporax (being sintered glass) would be more likely to leech silicates than the float glass your tank is made of?
Well, Nick, I don't see much of a diatom issue.. I have to say..
I do see incredibly coloured corals..
Fts would certainly be nice!
There is a blue coral below the PC superman - out of focus..
Looks like a nice deep water..
Nick based on the few shots you have posted, I'd say it's only a matter of time before this tank is as great as your last.. Diatoms are small potatoes. Don't loose sight of the forest for the trees..
Don't get too caught up with them, they may just disappear on their own..
Hope to hear a little more from you.![]()
Agree with Matt, the diatoms will disappear over time.
Nick, which brand and type of plankton are you feeding? Is it Zooplankton or phyto?
Those acros look extremely yummy Nick, very healthy looking frags mateI like the second one a whole lot.........
Tried some plankton but only the bigger fish would eat it, the anthias wouldn't touch the stuff so i stick with lots of mysis instead. High protein foods make good poo for acros imo.
Fantastic pictures! Stunning coral. Such nice colors. I really like the bright pink one. What is it?
Looking really good, Nick!!
What's the first shot?
Is that a purple dragon eyes?
I love it.
Second, Oregon tort?
That scape will do very nicely for giving the acros lots of space to get big and natural.
Looks great so far.
