A few of my SPS

I feel you Greg every time i leave for vacation i expect a loss. I like the variety of sticks you have , wish you u in the states instead love that granulosa my favorite.

Very nice!
Thanks

Greg, those shots are looking really good..
Like they never knew there was something going on in the tank..
No matter how often we feel we have our tanks cruising along, sometimes Mother Nature has to throw us a curve ball..
I guess it's her way of letting us know who's boss..
Nice to see the lush colours and velvet pe!
Thanks - still a work in progress

I like this reflection shot of some of the fish even though the glass needs cleaning. Check out that Christmas wrasse.

Here is the single branch I was able to save when the Green Dragon RTN'd - it is doing pretty well.

Pictures don't do this next piece any justice at all - it is extremely bright green with yellow growth tips

This one is now coming into it's own

Wow, Greg! Talk about amazing recovery!!
Just gorgeous.
Loooooooove the granulosa in the last post.. What's right below it? Also a stunner..
As are the three in #391..
Awesome!!

Beautiful corals as always Greg. I'm so glad you were able to save a piece of your green dragon! I'm sure it'll grow back in no time in your tank.

Just outstanding. How long have you had that clam? It's a beaut.
Thanks Darryl, I picked up two little Maxima's on Boxing Day.

Wow Greg, looks like everything is doing great again!
Thanks Mark, things are coming along but plenty of room for improvement with lots of pieces.

Thanks Matt. Yeah that granulosa is really starting to come into it's own. I am not sure what species that other piece is but I really like the contrasting colors with the yellow base and purplish tips & pinky polyps. It came in as a very expensive "brown-apora" and has really changed over the past 1.5 years since I've had it.

Thanks Conor, ironically the branch I was able to save was from the bottom of the colony so it was a funny shape & color but over the past several months has changed from homely to kind of nice.

It sucks when things don't work properly

It sucks when things don't work properly

I had a few pieces that started getting some serious STN so during my investigation I discovered my doser had malfunctioned & emptied my entire 10 gallon calcium reservoir into the display tank which threw the parameters way off. When I tested the Alk measured at 3.5 dkh and the calcium was off the chart somewhere around 1000. Surprisingly most of the corals are not showing ill affects (last batch of pix was taken after I discovered the issue) but a few corals are really hurting and I lost my Hoeksemai colony and my large Lovelli colony is albout half gone. I have a few montis that look to have given up the ghost as well. :sad2:
I really need to find time to do a few extra water changes but the rule is that things like this only happen when you are totally swamped with other stuff.

Last sentence....so true!!!
Really hope everything will be ok greg or at least with the minimal losses buddy.

You can never predict/guess when a piece of equipment will fail you:(
It can be light,pumps,whatever...
Even with regular testing, you still can't ensure nothing bad happens.

Amazing pics btw:beer:
