Thanks Mindy. Always room for a nice "granny". I will soon be sending some frags to Scott so I can add in a granny frag for you if he doesn't mind.

I would think you should be able to get lots of great stuff from Germany can't you? What about other areas in Europe? For example, Kriztof has some amazing corals in Poland.

that´s true but the don´t ship and it´s a very long drive...

i´m looking for frags and we don´t have so much high quality frags... more colonies and that is to big for my tank... it´s not easy... in Austria we have nothing. there aren´t too many reefers looking for high quality stuff... :hammer:

Hope so - it's a wierd fish. It makes me nervous that it likes to hang out near the surface - I don't want to find $200 dead on the floor one of these days.

Thanks Mike - I like the side shots as well because they hide all the empty spaces and the "under-performing" corals tend to just blend into the sps rainbow. :spin2:

Thanks Dave. That coral is believed to be Montipora Capitata. If you were local here in Calgary I'd get you a frag.

I like the look of this large colony but I need to trim this Valida back as it has overgrown it's allocated space and is seriously shading the smaller colonies below it. The area marked in the picture below that will be cut off is a good 3.5 inches front to back by about 6 inches across :eek1:

Nice valida colony. Does it prefer higher light? Mine has nice green polyps and tips but is lacking the beautiful purple of your colony. I have it place lower in my tank but it is growing quickly.

I'm sure you be there soon. Once they get bigger the growth is exponential so they really start to take off in all directions.

I have one with green polyps as well (AKA Bonsai) but it's pretty small. In my experience if you want the purple to be a dominant color it takes lots of light.
