A Great Way to ruin a perfect wall; My 400 Gallon Project

Thanks Jonathan,

I can't wait to see what the structure and color looks like in about a year. I've watched certain color morphs being outcompeted by the others. The purple and orange grow like crazy. The other little frags may not have a chance. I'll have to put bigger pieces on there:D .

Looks good Ryan. The pastels almost remind me of those tanks using Prodibio.

Are you using glass on your reflectors?

Prodibio???????:eek1: :eek1: :eek1: :eek1:

I'll start using that after I buy a timeshare in Iraq;) .

Your blues are awesome!

That's amazing how your purple cap has completely filled the corner of the tank!

WOW!

I know it is contained in your thread... but... can you remind me what kind of lighting and bulbs you are using? :D :D

Sunlight supply blue wave II magnetic ballast with 10K reeflux bulbs using luminarc reflectors.

The coloration is awesome, but there is a significant drop in the PAR after 5 months.

I'll still rather replace the bulbs every few months in order to have such amazing coloration.

Ryan,

sorry to hear about the loss of the Vlamingi. He was georgeous> I am building an in wall 270 just so I can finally get one of those fish. Your tank is an insperation to all of us. Keep up the good work!

Definitely worth it!

If I can ever convince Marc to come over to take some real pictures, you'll be able to see how fantastic the coloration really is!

I should have some time this week Ryan. I had a lot that needed finishing before the end of the year, and it is virtually all done. What are you doing tomorrow, besides getting over a hang over? Matter of fact, what are you doing tonight? :D

Aha, here's that thread. I knew if I looked hard enough, I'd find it.
