Great colours on those corals! Must be time for a FTS, I think (hint, hint, nudge, nudge).

Your photo skills have improved Steve! And your corals look great! Glad to see the tank is doing well.
And I second the request for a FTS....

I'd love to see the FTS as well.

I have taken countless full tank shots but taking a picture of an 8 ft long tank has proved to be really difficult. I cant seem to get a good. I need to get a wider lens so i can get a good one.

Steve, are you using the Triton media in your calcium reactor? I'm going to have to start dosing magnesium, my 10% weekly water changes aren't keeping it above 1220. I think the issue might be that the media has no magnesium in it. How are your mag levels?

I am using the triton media and I dose 1 cup of mg every Sunday and that has been keeping me around 1400. I have switched to fritz salt and do a monthly water change.

Haha! We must read the same stuff, I switched to Fritz as well. What mag do you use?

Why not use remag in your reactor?

Corey

I remember Randy stating it won't raise mag. I just found the thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2479062

I also read that mag requires a lower pH to dissolve than calcium carbonate, but haven't been able to find that thread. But if it does dissolve at the pH my DaStaCo runs at I should be able to sakes it by dosing and keep it there with remag or a similar product.

Have you had good results maintaining your mag level with with remag?

I am able to maintain it. I fought low mag for awhile. Used powder to raise it and new remag keeps it there.
