Acclimation Box

I am looking for an acclimation box to introduce my new wrasse to my display tank. Something like this:

I ordered one from 4coral.com two weeks ago and have heard nothing. I sent several email with no answer and called their phone number many times and only get some message about the magic jack customer not taking calls.

So, anyone know where I can find something similar?

My recollection is that either Marine Depot and/or Premium Aquatics have comparable. Excellent idea, I have been using one for years.

i'm not sure what the deal is with them recently. last month, i had a guy off my local board that didnt get his order either and went thru paypal to get his money back. before this, i've heard nothing but good things about them. 6 months ago i ordered and received it in about a week.

Brad please update us with the final outcome. I'm interested in the larger 20x10x10 box. I have the 12x6x6 and it works great.

+1 something must have happened. i got mine from them last year and they were great to deal with and had the box within a few days.

Looks like I am a little to late.

Anyone know a place that sells a similar product?

I have checked all of the regular places with no luck (Marine Depot, Bulk Reef Supply, Premium Aquatics, Aquarium Specialty). They all carry the Acclimate, but that is more than I am looking for and a lot more expensive.

Just a suggestion, a cheaper suggestion: I bought a clear, plastic organizer from walmart for $5, and drilled some holes in it. Not as elegant, but does the job.

Ditto. I am using one of those small(ish) Reptile plastic holding containers that I drilled a bunch of holes in. I use a large mag float and stick it to the side of the tank. This way, I can move it to various depths in the tank with ease.

I find the fish seem to socially-acclimate better when the "introductee's" container is more inline with the swimming area of the other fish.

I am also waiting to hear back from 4coral.com and then I found this thread. Bummer if they did go under and may try the reptile holder idea. Thanks.

Tyler is Very good at acrylic. He will build you anything, any size. I highly recommend him.
He takes great pride in his work and is very maticulouse. Don't think that is spelled right. LOL

I ordered the fish acclimation box as well from the same place with no word, just a regular response email to my order. I have not received the Paypal invoice so no money has left my pocket. I've tried calling and have sent multiple emails to no avail. They must be out of business....to bad. I will give Tyler a try. Thanks Bradley

I ordered an acclimation box as well and received an email and confirmation of the credit card transaction...never received the product. I called and emailed but no one answered. I had a friend who also ordered about 5 months ago and received their product.

Same here. Ordered two acclimation boxes and no response. When I emailed him saying I was canceling my order he replied and said that he had a lot of orders but he just finished mine and would send me freebees and would send out next day. I waited a week and nothing. Emailed him and no response. Had to get my money back through paypal.

So you stick the inside part of the mag float inside of the box, and the outside part can still attach? I'm trying to get a mental image so I can try this out. I, too, am looking for an acclimation box, but don't want to pay $50 for it!

Is 4coral.com down or still in business?

I also am looking for a box but yeah $50 is too high.

I think I will get a specimen container large for $6 drill holes in it and add a lid.

I got a response from Tyler about 2 hours after I sent the email. He explained that my order has shipped, but he is still having trouble updating order status on the website.
