Ya, that a watermark. All the cool kids are doing it!

That is indeed a beauty! Glad to see you got the prostrata, looks like you are on your way.

Looks great...i like the new aquascape. The pic of the limade is awesome. The white balance on that shot seems a little better than the rest. Actually looking at it again it seems you used flash for that shot. Did you get your new camera yet or what you using?

You can actually break the tips off those frag plugs to mount flush pretty easy with some bone cutters or even gardening shears....did you use gel glue and epoxy to mount those?

Thanks Darryl, couldnt have done it without you

That photo of the Limeade is with flash. its a one in a million chance that a flash photo turns out with this camera. Its an Olympus u tough-3005 point and shoot that can go under water (thats the secret :lol2: ) Still dont have the DSLR yet but im not doing half bad id say.

I wish I had though of cutting the frag plug, that would have made mounting a bit easier for some of them. I used a whole 4oz package of D-D aquascape putty with no gel glue.

That is indeed a beauty! Glad to see you got the prostrata, looks like you are on your way.

Thanks Jordan  Amanda really likes the prostrata (i agree too)

Well i dont believe it but the tube nem that got sucked into the mp40 yesterday is growing new tentacles!!! They are already about 5mm long. To think i almost pitched it out in thr trash... It is chillin in the refugium where there is next to zero flow and looks as happy as it could given the circumstance. Ill picture document the recovery.

so here are some pics of the tube nems recovery,

first is 24 hours after the crown was 100% ripped off the nem. It is starting to sprout new tentacles.

second is 48 hours after and we can see that the tentacles are much longer and regaining their color. The old crown was a good 10 inches + before.

I have a problem, Amanda made a joke and told me to join AA... Aquascapers Annonymous. I swear this is the last time!!!

Acronic, I gotta say your love for this hobby shows in this roller coaster thread. I to have had my ups and downs with tank crashes and such and have always hung in there but after all your misfortunes I don't know if I could. Your tank looks great so does your rock stack (leave it alone..lol). Good luck with everything was wonderful reading through this thread.

Thank you Henry. We all know some moments can be very trying but i have invested so much time into understanding this hobby that i couldn't possibly give up on bringing my knowledge and efforts to fruition. Rest assured this is the only roller coaster you'll catch me on :)

It looks great Kevin. If its any consolation my first 4yrs in the hobby was a rollacoaster ride trying to keep sps. At first it was lack of knowledge, than it was a badly designed system. It wasnt till i had the experience and knowledge plus the chance to build a new system that it has been smooth sailing.

Thanks for the motivational talk D! Im thinking its my time to grow big bad *ss glass crackin' sps. Ive been through the bad set up, the inexperience, the heart ache... Now its time for redemption. Good news, the frags havent lost any color, in fact some are coloring up. And that candle light acro i bought ftom Jay that browned on me and went into self destruct mode has made a turn around! Its had green polyps at the base now for about a week and in the last few days some tips started showing green, now im seeing swaths of color trails tracing up the frag!!!! So excited that the LEDs are so far good to me. I want to put the candle light in the brown to colorful thread when its ready

Woohoo....LEDs are the bomb my man!!
Once you have tasted LEDs there is no going back :D
I'm a LED believer...

We will change Reef lighting world...one tank at a time LOL :D

P.S: this change is gonna take a while and will be a slow painful process...but no pain no gain, right!!

Happy "LED" Reefing!!

Damn straight, i am also a believer! LEDs in the hands of experianced reefers have shown their worth IMO. Sure they may not work as well for some but to each their own. Its high time for some LED respect.

Things are gonna start looking MUCH better round here! Nothing like the right equipment in the tool box for the job.

Pulled the trigger on the Canon 60D with an EF-S 18-200 IS lens, a Tamron SP AF90mm F/2.8 macro lens 32G SD card and UV filter! So excited :)

oh geez....everybody has a better camera than me.

Can't wait to see what you can do with that thing (with practice of course).

I now expect to see much higher quality photos! :lolspin:

Nice purchase. I think this camera will handle with the "blueness" of your lighting much better, this alone will improve the quality of the the photos.

So get snapping with this shots. :D

Thanks guys, ill try not to let you down. After a good 10 hours of reading and fidling with the cam, I feel a bit more comfortable with it but still a long way to go. Ill take a few snaps today and see what this thing can do on the tank. Last nights full auto dog shoot was a sucess!
