The screen fix starts here, looking at the pins and cursing to the reef gods for how deep they are making you reach into you bag of tricks for something so trivial lol.

Make sure to expose the underbelly of the beast to start the sergery.

Lay out your work station like this. A C3PO inspired tip cleaner with copper wire for brains helps.

Use some desoldering wick and a fine adjustable soldering iron.

The PTH will still have solder in them because life is never easy.

Insert the solder sucker 3000. I got saucy and decided to video tape this one and we missed it lol.. flawless on all others haha

Please excuse the quality but I just needed to stretch out the old tripod and take the tamron for a spin. Haven't quite found my grove yet and I cant find my remote. Took me all night to find the base mount (in car glovebox :deadhorse1: )

Just before we left Toronto my wife's truck was broken into downtown and my laptop was stolen along with 28 gigs of unbacked photos :uzi: some of my best work was on the machine. So I don't have lightroom at the moment but will again in the near future so please cut me some slack :lol:

Pics look great as always!! My GHL screen is shot to, need to order a new one. In case I missed it, do you have a link to where you bought yours? Amazing how such a great product can have such a major flaw, but I don't think they really care because now they have the wifi units out now with no screens at all.

Thanks!! Pretty much every one has a screen failure. It really discredits their brand IMO. Link is on the last page or one before it. Screen only shipped from Poland. If you want plug and play contact Vinny at GHL USA. He will take care of you. I agree they are likely counting the days until everyone just upgrades their problems away. Lol
