Advice on Condi Care?

I've been considering buying a condi once my tank is about a year old. From what I've read, they're the easiest anemone species to take care of. My tank is 28 gallons and has 105 Watt quad lamp compact fluorescents, and they would be fed two or three times weekly with small pieces of squid, shrimp, octopus, or fish. Though I have no experience keeping anemones whatsoever, how difficult is it to keep condi's, really? Would this be a worthwhile challenge for me?
Preferably, I want advice from people who keep condi's.

I would place the anemone in a hole in a rock, then place the rock at the top of the tank right below the lights. I would consider the mini carpets (tapetum) and the rock anemone (crucifer) to be the easiest to keep. Condys can be a little more difficult.

I had a condy in my tank for awhile until it did some destruction to my corals I placed it abt mid way up my 55gal tank in a nice rock bed I made for it... I have different lighting than you however, so I wld agree with EC on placement. It was easy to take care of furious eater and loved to watch it eat. But on the down side it almost seem to sense the corals around and would try to eat them... meaning it would move it self to sting and what else and then move back to the original spot lol.. I work from home so I got to watch it do this to my GSP all the time. Once I decided I wanted some more corals I gave it away. They are easier than the LTA I have now but also had ALOT more issues with it attacking things lol.

Bubble tips (BTA's) are just as easy as Condys and at least you have a chance of getting a clown to use it as a host. Condy's are Atlantic anemonones and IMO they are rather ugly compared to others that are available. Look for a nice Rose Bubble Tip, you'll be much happier.

i actually have a nice looking condy with green tips and a light oral disk. it stayed in the original spot but it did sting my palys a little bit but i moved it back a bit and it sits where it's at happily. its pretty easy to keep, only needs mediocre lighting, and can still do well with a little higher nitrate levels than some of the other nems. good starter nem imo but try to keep it away from other corals until it settles
