Are you asking if the controller needs to be pugged in all the time?
If so Yes it needs a good quality power supply or you will have problems.

Thanks

Like to join the Hydra club. I ended up getting the Hydra26 and I must say it's a beautiful light.
Now I just have to figure out what would be the best numbers to go with for my tank (15gal 24x12x12) which is what I'm confused with. Everyone posts they're numbers but not everyone states the size and depth of their tank which I"m sure makes a huge difference. One persons setting at a tank with a 24" depth is not the same for another's with a 12" depth. I'm guessing is would be half?
Right now I have the light 11" off the surface and depth to the sand bed is 9.5"
Right now got various corals including SPS and would like to get more.
Any recommended levels? These are my current setting and this is with a 40% acclimation period of a month. Before this I had (2) 55W 10,000K / 03 Actinic Compact Florescent Lamps

Hi folks,
I'm taking delivery tomorrow of a new 60x24x24 tank and would like to know how many Hydra 26's I should get for the tank? Would 2 be enough or would I need 3? Or do you think I will be better off with 2 Hydra 52 modules?
Thanks in advance for you help.
But there isn't just a quick way to turn the lights off? That is all I want haha.. a button or something that can over ride the timerThere is, you can go into easy timer set up. Change the start or end time. Remember the ramp time is also a factor.
There are video on you tube to help as well.
