Also this is this Acropora. Not sure if its getting the greens from low-light (might need to bump the intensity up, just finished acclimation a few days ago). But it sure is getting damn pretty!!!

I have 2 x 52 hd over a 4w x 3h x 2d tank. I am using the following api file settings which I downloaded from one of the threads:

My tank is quite deep being 3'. I keep a mix of sps and lps.
Does anybody know if max around 100% for rb and lb is sufficient or do I need to elevate all level intensities slightly to accommodate depth tank?

Does anyone know of a way to move your whole photoperiod two hours? I'm using the SPS+ program that we have been sharing around here. I would like it to end at 10 instead of 8.
Hi guys I have my new hydra 26 placed about 10-12" above my jbj 30 tank with the glass lids on
I have mostly softs (hammers, open brain, anemone bta, flowerpot, Xenia, torch). Wondering how much light I should be setting them at
The tank is roughly 24x24x18" (height)
Hammers, brain, torch are currently on bottom and flowerpot and nems on top
I've recently noticed my brain and maybe a pink hammer bleaching a bit but I'm not sure this is loght releates since this is my current power setting
10 hrs, 2-3 hr ramp up. 4-5 hr peak
UV 20%

Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks I'll try to bump it up a bit each week and see what happens
Do you guys know the benefit of the UV light is on the hydras? Should those be high or low? My LFS told me to just use blues and whites depending on what looks best. That's all they need to grow
This thread is massive! My head hurts :headwallblue:
Trying to figure out settings for the hydra 52hd. I have found many posts but hard to find any follow up posts discussing if their settings worked. Currently I am messing with 1 light over some sofites. Light is 10" off the water and tank is 28" deep. In the past I had some Chinese blue/white light that grew the softies very well. Working on converting over my lights to all hydra 52s. I will need 3 for the 300g and 2 for the 120g.
Where should I start? I did my own then found a aip file and testing it out right now.
Also, can the incorrect settings potentially increase algae growth?
Color is better and growth has jumped up since running my new schedule. Here are some pics.![]()

Here is a video but I don't know how clear it will be https://vimeo.com/201589040
Awesome video you really do have some spectacular colonies. It is refreshing to such a mature system!

See the above post and read the posts in the most recent 10-15 pages. I have posted settings and gave links to my API file. In the past few months there has been a group of us running a modified Radion schedule called SPS AB+ to great effect. Please see my previous posts for more details. Also are you planning on growing SPS at all? If so 2-3 Hydra 52HD's is woefully inadequate for anything but softies and maybe LPS on tanks of that size. I run a 52HD and a Prime HD on a standard 29 gallon tank for reference.
