whats the % deal with the tang on profits? 70/30 to the tang?

Not totally sure ... we were just having some fun with the naming corals and how that influences their price...

I would anticipate that there are different profit margins for different fish. Not sure on exact numbers...

Awesome fish D! Great choice brother. I love aussie tusks, they are one of my favorite fish. Once I am able to build my big tank, I will definitely have one of these.

I was told to watch out for the cleaner shrimp or clean up crew if I would place them in the tank. Beautiful as that fish is, who cares.

Great post

Great post

I have to thank my buddy Terence for hooking up the camera and dialing in my Apex today! You are the man!

Great tank build and pictures! I am glad that you posted the fact that you needed help with something. I believe lot of experienced and beginer aquarists waste money buying things they don't need, or breaking stuff when all you have to do is ask for help.

Thanks man! I'll try and get a better photo of him this weekend. Right on! Worth sacrificing a few inverts for the cause!

I'm with you Wayne... I think the eel already ate my cleaner shrimp.

I have always wanted one so I will add him on the list with the snowflake eel as reef safe with caution!

I'll keep a close eye on him... :p

Thank you for checking it out!

I am always up for learning new things from those who know more than I do (and that's a lot of folks)

I am always open to share what has worked for me with hopes it helps others avoid those hobby set backs! :wavehand:

My guess is that the purple chalice is hitting it with its sweeper tentacles??? Anyone else have this happen?

I just added the harlequin tusk... Do you know if they like red pizza shaped chalices? :headwally: :)

Anyone have a good suggestion for a top off pump for the system?

I have an Apex that I can leverage to help with the process.

My gravity feed from the 100 gal RO/DI barrel doesn't provide enough pressure at its current height and I don't really want to raise it higher...

I use my apex for ATO.

I have it leveraged against a 5ml/min BRS pump.

It runs until the ato switch is satisfied then for an additional 2 minutes. It is set to alarm after 10 minutes.

That way it kicks with no problems. I am putting in the high float this weekend. (just had not done it yet) so incase a snail gets on the float, like it has twice already, I do not have to worry about it emptying the ATO-tank.

My ato-tank is only 7 gal, on purpose, so I do not have to worry about it like you would on a 100. It will never overfill my sump, as it has a 12+ gallon empty reserve space.

That's awesome! Thanks! Good ideas!

I've never programmed a Apex but the logic you should use is to take 2 float switches like worm started then you set it up so it turns on the pump when

The water level is low AND the high float switch is low.

The high float switch should always show the water as being low and if it "turns on" something is wrong and turn off the pumps. The bottom float switch should work just like you think it should.
