i can never get a pic of the mouth its always covered up. but its puffed up . if i try to move it it sucks down to the size of a baseball. the fingers or whatever you call them are only like 2-3" long and about a 1/2"round when its happy. iit hasnt moved since i put it in the tank so thats good i guess ive been feeding it silversides every 2 days and it takes them quickly. ill see if i can get a pic of the mouth but let me know if theres anything else i could do for a positive id

Does it have any different colored spots on the foot? If it is a magnifica they usually have those and if it is a BTA they never do. It should be easy to see when it is all balled up.

all i can see of the foot is what you see in the pics. yes the mouth is just like that is that ok or does that mean its hungry

I would suggest searching this forum for threads on Heteractis Magnifica and Ritteri anemones. Do all the reading you can. These are notoriously hard to keep. Try to learn as much about their needs as you can, and soon. Try to make sure there are no power heads above, or close to it. Good luck, and I hope it continues to do well for you.

I vote BTA. How far from thelights is it? If it starts moving up the wall to the very top of the tank, then my vote will change to magnifica .... lol.

The more I look at those photos, the more confused I get:hmm4:
Are the tentacles in rows like this, or are they more random in placement?

What a tough id. From the first pictures it looks like the tentacles are in a row like your elegance. And if the mouth sticks up like a mag I would think then that that's what it is. I would definitely suggest doing a lot of research to ensure it's survival
