If it is blueface and koran hybrid why does it have so much brown on it while still a young juvenile?

I'm staying with a koran x something, I don't know where the "dots" could come from, i doesn't quite look like an emperator so I would say Hybrid Koran x X lol

Judging by John's key fob, I'm guessing the fish is 2"-2.5" in length. Bluefaces (and Korans -- to an extent), much like Majestics seem to begin their color tranformations earlier in life, than say Emperors or other Pomacanthus.

To add more, the yellow between the eyes, and the yellow along the edge of the dorsal is a dead giveaway to a Blueface. And I'm sure you can see where I get Koran from.

Has to be part emperor I would think with the patterning on the fins like that.

I don't really know diddly wigglers about angels but I think it's the juvi colors and pattern of the Emperor that are apparent. Fun post. Where will it lead?

Todd you could very well be right. I don't know, nor do I have much experience with juvenile hybrid pomacanthus. I was just looking at the circles, but the yellow in the dorsal and face kinda through me for a loop and you are right it does look like it might have some blueface in there.
