Any word on the RE Red Dragon DC classic pumps yet?

I saw an early review of these awesome pieces of equipment recently and I really, really, really (did I mention REALLY) want one.

Any word as to when they may be available?

Hi Chad,

All of the information released on these so far are only 240v. As of now there is no 120v pump available, or a solid eta on them. We are hearing from Klaus that it will be 6-12 months down the road until a 120v is available.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I just received some updated info on these pumps from Klaus. He is hoping to have the first 120v pumps in the 75w version over here in March. Then later in the year the Mini 50w and larger 230w will be available.

Sweet, perhaps I will treat myself to a new return pump around March. Will you do a pre-order or reserve buy on them?

Any idea on cost yet, btw? I am expecting in the $500-1000 range, how close am I?

Is it Gold plated or something??? Silly paying for a name IMO
Hey Jeremy, Did i win the RODI from the Frag Swap, I gave you my tickets, Remember???

Hi Bill....

Not Gold plated, or massive Titanium Parts inside the Pump. No Rust and no start-Up issues. (Softstart by Speedadjustable Brushless DC-Technology ) Laserwelded Parts, Titaniumscrews, Vibrationfree, extremly silent, no heating....

@Chad,

120 Volt/60 Hz RD2 Classic comming soon... Price in Europe is 485.- Euro.

Hope it helps....

My external pump may get replaced with one of these new DC pumps. Looking to see them out. :)

Always been on the fence with their pumps due to high cost....... Jeremy cut me a deal on a 12m3 several months ago making the pump cost close to what a new dart gold goes for......

turned the pump on today & yea..... dam they are quiet!!!! Pushing 2500 +/- gph & this thing is I would say silent

If noise is a issue I will not hesitate in the future to use their stuff be it a internal or external pump.

I might need to replace the velocity T4 with one of these DC pumps
