anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

My 2.5 month update. I can report that my one WP40 has worked flawlessly. I don't use the feed mode or the night mode I see no need for them, so I can't report on either of them. The pump it's self has been flawless running at 18.5 Volts one W1 and Elos modes. Right now the pump runs for 10min and then is off for 10 min and is shut down completely from 9:00pm-7:00am. I am planning on purchasing another WP40 for the opposite side of my tank, as soon as I sell my current selection of frags. At that time I will finally get around to hooking them both up to my Reef Angel.

Well as I suspected I have had my pump two months now and it is starting to malfunction. The feed mode goes on for 5 seconds and shuts off. The pump is still flowing fine but to turn it off and feed I need to unplug it, and the only mode that works is Else mode, every other mode flows like else mode. Luckily for me that is the mode I use. Still is a great pump for the price but hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come.

Couple that with the night mode not working properly I am starting to thing long term this pump will not pass the test.

Just my experience...

I've had mine running since March 30th and have not had a problem with it.
I did have a little problem with the night mode, but once I found the right position for the controller it has been fine.

It goes in and out of feed more with no problems.

Mine has been running in W1 at about 16-17v for at least 1 1/2 months now and I've seen no issues with heat or anything else.

I just connected it to my Reef Angel yesterday and it works great with a custom wave mode that Roberto create for someone else on the forum.

Fish Street offers a 1 year warranty on the pump.
Have you tried contacting them or whoever you got it from to see what they say.

Are you running it at a lower voltage? What other variables do we have working here. You may be on to something and just might be the first to experience it, or you got a bad controller. More details will help the rest of us if we have similar issues.

I CAN NOW FINALLY JOIN THE REVIEW DISCUSSION. If you couldn't tell I was screaming at the top of my lungs. I received my 2 pumps Friday but did not have the chance to install until yesterday. I have a 90 gallon RR with a corner return. I installed the pump on the side glass where the overflow is located. It is halfway down the glass and is aimed towards the opposite back corner. Needless to say the power is Friggin crazy. My RBTA is not happy at all right now. I have it in else mode for now and will be evaluating the others as the weeks go on. I am running at full power and may order the dimmer in the future.

Standing about 5 feet from the tank I can hear the pump when it kick on but it is no worse than the water falling into the overflow.

As for now I will give this an B+ only because there is no intensity adjustment.

No low voltage, plug and play. I have it hooked up to my RKE and it is off from 9PM-6AM

be aware of fish-street. They are scammers. I know a ton of pages back i commented on the broken pump i was sent. I opened a dispute with paypal since they refused my refund. I had to ship the item back to them for my refund. Paypal then granted me my money back. Three weeks later here i sit in battle with paypal as they tried to take the money back out of my account after fish-street claims i sent them an empty box. I had since spent the money on a different pump and now paypal wants me to reimburse them the money since they decided to give my money back to fish-street.

My paypal account is now limited until i pay for a pump that was already returned

I find this interesting because when I ordered my WP40 from FS, I also ordered a couple of other items including 2 electrical components. FS shipped the pump and look down magnifier, but cancelled the electrical items. They sent me an email explaining that they wouldn't work in the US and therefore cancelled them and if I still wanted them, I should let them know and they would reinstate the order and ship for free... and they gave me a full refund all in the same day. That doesn't sound like a scammer to me. I'm just say'n...

WP25 is now on FS site for $70 plus $23 shipping. 8000LPH or 2100 GPH. It looks like the same controller. Does it mean no speed control?

Please say is isn't so? I thought somebody a couple of pages back said they had talked to somebody at Jebao and they said it did have a speed control (or maybe that was in the WP25 thread?)? That's too bad if it's true. But then we saw early press about the WP25 that said it was the exact same size as the WP40 and that rumor lasted for weeks. Time will tell. :headwalls:

macboat, when are your pumps scheduled to arrive?

Yes.I have been in contact with Wynstan at Jebao and he told me that the speed control had been integrated into the controller.

Here is his exact e-mail to me.

Hi Steve,

Sorry I missed to reply you ;
The WP-25 magnetic mount is available now ,
the flow rate will be 8000l/h and the controller will have speed control
function,thanks!

Again all we can do is wait and see.

The image on the FS website could have been Photo shopped to say WP-25 on it. (I doubt it thought, why spend the time)

But I definitely did not see a 2nd control know on the controller.

I just looked at their site again and the image doesn't even say WP-25 on it now.

I swear the lower left corner had WP-25 in english on it.

You were right as I copied the picture from FS when I saw it yesterday. Here it is. They switched picture today. They should fire the photographer for putting the box upside down in the new picture where the WP25 is not shown anymore. I will find out today if the controller has speed control. UPS is out there delivering my pump:bounce1:

Edit. Now I see the reason for putting the box upside down. They want the front of the box to show the English description of the pump.

Hopefully nothing was lost in translation and 'speed control' is what we hope it to be. Technically, that's all the controllers do, control speed.

I don't think anything was lost in translation.
This is Wynstan's original e-mail to me about the Speed Control...

Hi Steve,

The flow rate for WP-25 is about 6000LPH ,the tank size we tested
is 1.2*0.5*0.5m ,and we are adding the function to the controller which
can adjust the speed ,thanks!

Sincerely
Wystan

It seems like the WP25 (6 cm Diam) is even smaller than the Tunze Nanostream 6095 (7 cm Diam)
and almost as strong 2100 USgal/h vs 2500 USgal/h.

Strong and small, I like it.
It's sad that I have a WP40 arriving at my door today and I think it's gonna be too bulky for my 65 gal.
If anyone find his WP25 too small I could swap it.
