anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Im upgrading to a 125-150 soon and would like some input on number of pumps. I already have 1 WP40 and was wondering if 2 WP40's would be ok in a 125. I was thinking maybe put one on w1-w2 and the other on reef crest mode. Its going to be mostly a fish only style with some softies.

Thanks guys!

PS. Ron, if you could keep a lookout for me in the Fort Myers/Cape coral area for big tanks let me know lol aquarium reef center wants an arm and 2 legs for their tanks.

I have a 125g and 2 would be too much in mine. I have it set on w2 low, had to lower my water level twice to keep the water in my tank.

The new controller does not solve the night resistor problem. going to radio shack today to try the one suggested

Radioshack ones do work!!! i have some extra if anyone needs 1.

Side note- went to my dealer today and i guess they are making a WP10!!!!! if this is old news sorry....

Now all the biocube and 30 gal people will order this one.
I might as well to add to my two wp25 for my 65gal.

just wanted to add that out of the 5 you get from radio shack the to sizes in the middle are the ones that will work. not all of them work. FWIW

I already have a MP10 and a WP25. For my upcomming 120g sps tank should I get another WP25 or a WP40 you think? I do like the wider flow of the 40's but it may be too much.

Do you have any controllers like an Apex or Reef Angel?
The 40 on the stock controller with the over 2 pumps maybe too much for a 120.

Thanks for the reply. I will have a full Apex controller for the system. I've seen the cable for the Reef Angel, but wasn't sure if it would work with the APEX.

Yes it can be modified to work on the Apex.
I'm not sure what needs to be done exactly, but I believe you have to cut the Arduino plug off the end and replace it with and RJ-45 for the Apex interface.

I believe it is in this thread somewhere.

I think it is also on the Reef Angel Forum.

This might be your best bet thought.

google search "jebao wp40 apex controller" and you should get a thread on manhattanreefs from a former member from here that has instructions on how to hook it up and also control it. believe he ended up running his at 70%. I would link the thread but i dunno if it's a nono since the member is no longer here and from another forum. But the whole thread on that site is useful and has alot of knowledge

I run 1 Tunze 6105 and 1 WP40 on my 120 gallon, 4' tank and they are not too much flow. I have a lot of grown in SPS so I'd even consider adding another WP40 but that is just me.

Has anyone had their pump stop working? Mine has frozen up, after about 4 months of use. It was also apparently putting some stray voltage into my tank. I was having problems with my PH monitor, but that has stopped since I removed the pump. I'll contact fish street for service, I wish there was a US warranty service. The pump was great while it worked, and I hope to have a replacement soon.

Not me.
Sorry about the pump. if you bought it from Fish Street Eric should take care of it.
Where you using any dimmers or anything to reduce the voltage/speed or was it full on with the stock controller?

Were you running this at 24V or were you dialing back the pump with an adjustable power supply or LED dimmer knob?

For a 90 gallon tank, would you guys suggest two wp25s, or two wp40s?

I would do 2 WP25's for a 90. I have a WP40 and in my 90 and it is strong, I am supplementing flow to some areas with a Korailia that is why I feel the 2 25's would be the best route.

He's running it off a Reef Angel so the control lead of the pump is the one being adjusted, not the power going to the pump.

The pump is still getting 24V, but the control lead is being adjusted by the RA, just like the stock controller would be doing.

Eric has already taken care of me. I don't even think they want the old pump sent back, not that it works anyway. Fish Street has been great to deal with on this, and as I said before I absolutely love the pump. I can't wait to get the new one back into the tank, the water that it moves is nuts.
