anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Again be careful! i had my WP40 on wave mode on my 36 gallon and the tank itself was swaying back and forth. Anyone with a bigger tank have any issues with swaying or is it because the tank is smaller?

40 on a 36 gallon is certainly way overkill. I mean if you can make waves in a 120 and apply that setting to something 1/4 the volume..

I just purchased my WP25 from Fish-Street! I plan on putting it in my rimless 60gal cube 24x24x24. I have a mixed reef with sps, clams, lps, and softies, do you think it will be a good match?

Swaying depends only on how well built is your stand, if it's swaying I woldn't trust it to make waves in the tank, It's goning to fail.

So today I walk over and notice a diffrent flow pattern in the tank
Both wp25 across one one else with a dimmer and one on w1.
Read a few complaints of pump getting weaker.

The one with the dimmer noticeably got weaker I was disappointed :(
So I turned up the dimmer to max and still flow was low.
I removed dimmer and was working fine stronger than with.

Used to work fine with dimmer but after a couple months.

So I'm guessing the dimmer from eBay is a garbage quality :headwally:
Hope no long term damage from it well ill see if I notice anything else.

I got my two WP25's in on Saturday, took 6 days to travel from Hong Kong to Chicago! After tweaking and messign around with the settings, I found that if I place them on the sides and aim one slightly toward the surface and the other one straight across directly across from each other, it creates a really nice wave! Love the way the corals are moving and the dietrius it is picking up, I have been fighting with a cyano issue, and this wave action is definately helping to clean this up.

So you put two WP25's in 90g ? I just ordered one WP40 for my 90g to try it out , thinking I'll go with the 25 if I add a second. My order just landed in San Fran today, should have it in a few days

yes, two 25's in my 90 work great. They are very powerful pumps, I think a 40 in a 90 gallon would be too much

depends on what you have inside.... i have a 93 cube and the wp40 is perfect for a sps tank. im also bare bottom so i cant give you a sand experience. im also running the dimmer. wp40 has a WIDE flow its perfect

Just ordered my Wp40 for my 150 (48x24x31) after reading 147 pages over the last couple of weeks! Seems there have been some improvements and price reduction since this thread has started. Paid $ 87.40 from fish street.

Has it been confirmed that the speed knob actually adjusts the speed in Else mode?

I feel like its not any lower when turned down

If its like the controllers from the first wp40 it's only controlling frequency, not speed. The new controllers have speed buttons, so I assume te knob works the same, only controlling frequency.

Correct the knob only controls the frequency of the wave or how often it comes, not how fast the pump is spinning, that it controlled by the S1, S2 & S3 buttons in the W1 mode only.

I've heard a couple of people saying they get weaker..... Here is what I have found. I have a wp40 in my 125g and it did in fact seem to get a little weaker after a few weeks. However its kind of user error!

I had turned mine off to feed corals with my trusty turkey baster. I noticed something inside the back of the ph. So I forced water into it with the baster & blasted tons of junk out of it. It now runs normal again. I now know these pumps need a cleaning about once a week or so.
