anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Didnt see an answer. Any ideas on how to test how well my 40 is functioning. It's older from right before the new controllers. I like it, but just doesn't seem as strong as some vids etc I've seen. (Feel like my waves are like half an inch vs the 1inch+ I saw on others 125g. )

It's still leaps and bounds stronger than any koralia I have. Almost had a problem when I put it at bottom of tank facing up and nearly let go. (I saw it shooting out and conking me in the head or taking out a panel it had that much pep.)

I don't know if there is a way to test the strength, but I would suggest taking it apart and cleaning the impeller shaft and everything really well.

People have complained about it losing strength, but once they clean everything it comes back.

I don't think its dirty unless you mean from the factory. I only ran it in a empty but for cycling live rock tank, and only for a couple weeks. (It's out and dry awaiting my 215g I traded up for.)

I ordered and should have my 2 WP40's here in the few days. I noticed that this company also has some return pumps. I'm curious about the DC12000,
I have a hammerhead set aside from when I had my tank previously set up but I'm looking for a more efficient way to also utilize my CL lines. Has anyone looked into or tried them?

They are trying to meet the requests of the market.
People said the 40 was too powerfull for smaller tanks so they came out with the 25, there are others saying the 40 is not enough for larger tanks so they are coming out with the 60.

I have heard rumors of a WP-10 coming out for nano tanks. I have not gotten that confirmed by Jebao though.

The thread to the WP-60 is here.

Yes they are supposed to be really quite too.

How far down the water line do you have yours set up? I have mine about 3 in and have it facing up. It's like a tsunamis in my tank I'd tell ya!!!

I am seriously considering this pump for my 125g (6') build that is almost finished cycling. I almost bought Koralia Evos just for the price and wavemaker until I found out about these on RC.

I am going SPS, with a few LPS and zoa/mushrooms. It will be mostly SPS.

Anyone with a 125g that can advise whether 2- wp25s would be enough, or will I need 2- wp40s? I have a sandbed and don't want a sandstorm in there. My return is a Mag 18 on dual returns that have dual heads, so a fair amount of flow from the sump.

I'd get two wp40 if I were you. Can always dial them down if need be. I have one in my 90G and considering getting a second one since my tank is BB thus the extra flow is always appreciated.

Thanks, that's where I'm leaning towards. Especially since the price difference is pretty small.

Look forward to experiencing the flow first hand.

I was in the same dilemma. Started with one and finished getting the second. Search YouTube for wcharon and there is a video when I had one.

My wp40 is makes chattering noise. I took the pump apart and everything looks fine to me. The plastic stopper seems to be snugged and tight.

I would go with 2 WP-40s. Like mentioned before you can always dial it down, but if you're doing BB, it wont matter. WP-40s also have a wider flow which is a plus. I have a 150 gallon I'm building and going with 2 WP-40s.
