Can't wait to see if you can make this work! So you think the power connection from the wp40 will fit into the power supply port of the tunze safety connector?

If not, you'd have to find out what kind of connector the tunze uses, cut the end off the wp-40 wire, and change it.

Thanks to all the trail blazers on this thread! I read the whole thread and now am off to purchase one for my 180. Hopefully people will have the mods with tutorials before long for those of us that are less electronics savvy :spin3:.
I run 2 on my 180 set on w1 and works really well

Well Roberto has already coded a pattern (ReefCrest) that will work for this pump. He will continue to put out more patterns in the future. I would next imagine NTM will be next. Pretty neat.

I think you will be happier with two WP40s. You can always dial them down with a variable power supply or other means discussed here. JMO.

The wp40 is perfect for my 150, which is 48x24x31. I really like the else mode. Still runing a couple koralia 1400s with it, so I may order another one at some point. I'm very impressed.

So the wp40 flows about as much an an MP40? I have an MP40 on my 75gal and have it going full tilt on lagoon mode (I find lagoon spends the most time at high speed.) I had actually planned on waiting for the WP25, but I think my tank would do just fine with a second MP40, so it should also be fine with a second WP40 right? My tank is bare bottom, so no worries about sand storms.
What do you think? I'd love to go ahead and order a couple verses waiting till april for the WP25's.
Also, is fish street the only place to buy these? The shipping cost gives me pause. If I get 2, it would be $215 shipped. What's an MP40 W go for now a days, $300? I'd still be making a profit, but not as much as I'd like.

$465 for an MP40.
$20 shipping is actually cheap coming from Hong Kong within 7-10 days. They could have just said $105 with free shipping and you would never have known.

Just for fun I asked about getting 10 of them and shipping was $180. So I told a few friends to just order their own. LOL!
