anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

"eric's" response:
Its the complete new pump that you no need to return it back. If return require a long time for repair and require pay for shipping fee still 15USD.

Well then, that explains it, nice profit margin they have going. (but really no different than anything else....) These pumps are still one heck of a value.

By his broken english it seems he just wants to send you a whole new pump for 25 bucks rather than determine exactly what was wrong and fix it. Not a bad deal as now you'll have some spair parts......
But if a few dollars really matters then yeah, they should fixt the bad part only for the cost of shipping the bad part back to them.

think of how may times you can replace one of these compared to a vortech, also consider how often people end up replacing vortech parts that cost more than a whole jebao pump!

so either this "eric" is horrible at understanding what i am trying to ask..or he knows exactly what i am saying and is eluding the question!

I am not sure either, I am pretty sure they don't realize a lot of us talk on forums or surely they wouldn't do it. As far as I know everybody is getting a replacement, nobody is sending pumps back to be fixed. They just need to have a flat fee that is the same for everyone. I always have to ask for a tracking number like 3 times and he always says he sent it to check my spam folder but it is never there.

Dont get me wrong...i love this pump! Thats why i did not hesitate to shell out the $25 for a replacement. It does bother me they charge different rates for shipping though. Not a few dollars but $17? Strange??? Pretty sure it is dirt cheap to ship from hong kong and china.

I vote for #2. He knows exactly what's going on and is eluding the question.

I've dealt with Eric before and the same thing happened. he charged me $10 for a replacement controller, but someone else $4.

Any of these china accounts are just BS names anyways. Probably more than one person to each "account". I bought an e-shine light fixture once and my guy was named Peter. Peter Pan. Not kidding, really.

Got my wp40 running in my 120 today i like it a lot. 1 quick question i know has been covered in here but i can't find it. Does the dial do anything in else mode same with the speed settings or only in wave...

Thanks

The dial effects the frequency of the wave. So yes it should effect how close together or far apart your waves are in else mode.

Honestly I don't remember. I'm running mine on a Reef Angel controller, so I haven't used the stock controller in months.

It does have an effect on the wave, but maybe not in else mode.

I think your right though. Even though random when it does product a wave I think the dial says what type of wave pulse to send?

My favorite name I've seen while ordering (for work) from China was Dragon Wang. No joke.

To be more precise, the dial affects the width of the pulse and hence indirectly affects the period for modes that really has a periodic wave. It affects all wave modes. I checked this on a logic analyzer. But strictly speaking, there is no period in ELSE mode (likewise for H1, H2, H3) since it is not a "periodic" wave, but the pulse width is controlled by the dial. For W1, where it is pulse on and pulse off, adjusting the dial will make the pulse longer or shorter, hence make the total period longer and shorter.

For W2 and W3 where the wave is defined by 18 and 16 pulses respectively, increasing the pulse width by say 1ms will increase the period by 18 and 16ms respectively.

IMHO, I think adjusting the pulse width is a great design. Most other controllers, DIY or not, adjusts the period.

Just got my WP40 today. It must've come from the jersey warehouse since I ordered it on Saturday! Just curious which mode is the preferable for a fowlr? have it on H1 now but may switch to else later. I love the pump, thinking of ordering a second to replace my koralia.

I would say just see what your tank likes best. H1 is the highest linear flow mode so aside from that you get random or waves at various speeds....

Hi,

I have one of these and I love it, I was just wondering though has anyone made and mods to adjust how many LPH it does.

I have it in a 3x2x2 tank and I only have it on low because on any wave mode it just blows all my sand and corals around.

Thanks

Pierre

So because of the controller location i can't utilize the night sensor which is fine its crap tbh. Anyone have or think it would be ok to put the pump on a timer and shut it down at night...

I used velcro to attach mine
