anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

There was a buzz about this when it first came put, but from what I remember it wasn't as simple as you make it out to be and it kind of died down when Jebao release their dual pump controller.
I have this being delivered to me this week. Can't wait for it. I've watched a few YouTube videos on it and it seems easy to use. We'll see lol

Not sure if one has features the other one doesn't? If they both do the same I'd rather by American than more money to China. Yes I know, the pump is Chinese, I didn't know that when I ordered them.

Love my wp40s. They work great. For some reason it was a litte loud at first. After about a week it seemed to break in and then was quite. Only had one fail in an accident where water got on the inverter.

I bought my Jebao WP40 new back in January off ebay. I love the theory of it, but after 9 months I had the same thing happen as some others- the motor on the pump itself is totally dead. I only paid $65 for the entire unit. All the controls and power are fine. I tried contacting Jebao 3 times (email and online chat) and get NO response. In my manual that came with it, it mentions that using the light sensor with it will void the manufacturer warranty. I never even put the light sensor in or used it. So to me that implies there is some kind of warranty but I cant get any answer on that. Fish street quoted me $50 for a replacement pump and $20 for shipping lol. Now I don't know what to do- bite the bullet and buy and entire new unit or switch to an inferior regular powerhead. Unless anyone has a working powerhead that they want to sell me???

I strongly suggest if anyone's going to buy a Jebao that you do it through Amazon. It makes returning them really easy. I have a bunk one (well, it's not bunk with the Jebao controller, but it doesn't like low voltage flow patterns via my Apex VDM) and when I finally get around to pulling it this week it'll get picked up free by UPS and my card will be refunded as soon as it gets back to them. That doesn't help with longer term failures but at least if something's not right in the first few weeks it's an easy return.

I purchased mine through FS. As a registered customer but out of warranty, they offered 2 of the motor units only for $50.00 US shipping included. They have a full inventory of parts and seem to be serious about customer support.
I believe the warranty period is 6 months at the time I purchased. They may have extended it to one year.

I had a couple issues with my 40...I purchased it from FS. the controller took a dump...they replaced it no questions asked 0 cost to me. Then my 3pin connection shorted burring on of the pins off(my fault) contacted them...cost me 25 shipped...new controller and pump body,...more than fair as far as I'm concerned. Bottom line for me,...FS is the way to go.

I have 2 wp40s on a 48x26x20 and think I could use 2 more of each. But I like a lot of flow also don't have sand.
I have a 60x48x20 main tank with sand. I want to replace my 4x 1200lph powerheads. The rockwork is mostly in the middle and at the back / The weir is at the back in the center. I don't want to see large powerheads at the front or at the sides as the water depth is only 20" high, and the tank is viewable from 3 sides; so that leaves just the back. My closed loop pipework returns the sump water through the center of the rockwork.
Would I be ok with 2x wp40's ? or maybe 2x wp60's ??. I want a lot of flow, but I need the sand to stay at the bottom, and the water to stay in the tank.

wp40s would be more ideal for your size tank. the 60s are just to much. but honestly i would skip the WP series and look into the jebae RW series. they are the upgraded versions of the WP series. for your tank and needs i would look at either the RW8 or the RW15...
