anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I wanted to make sure because I would like to do this with my WP-25. Of course, ill let you guys demonstrate first :P

Wouldn't adding a variable power supply ruin the longevity life span of the pump as well?

A pump is just a motor and it will run fast or slow based on the voltage it receives. The controller uses very low voltage so only a fraction of the voltage supplied by the power supply is used and is regulated by a voltage regulator. The Jebo pump can run in any voltage between 12 and 24V according to spec.

What we are talking, of course, is using a lower voltage than the factory power supply. If you want to use a variable power supply higher than 24V, that is a whole different story and yes, I am pretty sure, it will ruin your pump in a hurry!

Eric did confirm the smaller version is called WP25 and almost at half price of the WP40!

Do you have Eric email? I can't seem to get in contact with anyone and am getting a little worried I haven't received anything from them after paying by PayPal Friday morning.

It is not a personal email address but just a general email address for Fish Street store. PM me and I will give that to you.

I just read the whole thread and I am extremely intrigued. I will be ordering the WP40 and mod it down for my 90 gal mixed reef with a corner over flow. It will definitely be an upgrade over the two Koralia's in there now.

This is the best pump I've ever owned. I bought 2 of them for my 240g. I'm only going to use one of them. Rock solid construction. Worked plug and play out of the box. I've owned the Tunze Wave Box and the Vortec MP40. This is 2x the pump the Vortec was. Feels better out of the box. Controller is a little simple but effective right out of the box. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR LARGER TANKS!!!!

It's weird. My leather doesn't respond well the the "wave" action. This is the same reason I ended up returning my Tunze Wave Box. Any thoughts? What if I hooked the second one up in the other end of the tank and put them on a timer? Ran it in one direction, then the other.

Is the leather getting smacked around by the pump flow? Try moving it out of the direct stream if you can.

I found that 1 pump is good for wave action, but to avoid dead spots on any other mode, 2 work well at reduced speed ~15-18v.

Just bought one to try out on one of a few tanks. I have to read through this thread which is growing way too fast to keep up on. But it sounds like this is controllable via PWM, and I have an Arduino so I might have to play with that finally.

So can someone confirm that this pump will run on lower voltage (lower gph then) with one of these:

Is that all that is needed or do I also still need a power cord (like a pc power cord)?

Sorry I'm a little confused on the types of connections the pump comes with...

Thanks

Mine is about the same as that one (15-24V), and it came with 6or 8 adaptor plugs, but the one that was on it fit. The pump runs fine os 15V.

You now have me watching for delivery trucks like a little kid waiting for the ice cream truck! My wife thinks it's hilarious! I was figuring on it coming towards the end of the week.

Your not the only one I keep checking my confirmation daily. As of yesterday it left New York. I'm in Florida
