anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Right now I am pretty much looking at the Apollo 5000UV Blastorama LEDs of uberness or whatever they call them.

It's a 4X2X2 120 gallon, so figure two of them would work.

I googled that name and found nothing. Do you have a link to any info on it?

Have you looked at the EverGrow/Reef Breeders IT2080? Full retail is $500. I have 2 of them over my 180g DT and have better PAR values than when I had 1050W of MH (3 250W bulbs and 2 150W bulbs). Four of us got them in a group buy and we all love them. Check out the Chinese led thread in the equipment section if you haven't already. Maybe you've already considered it, but I just thought I toss it out there.

I just pulled the trigger and ordered two WP40 from Fish-Street. Let's see how long it takes for it to arrive. I know it is Chinese New Year over there so orders will probably be delayed. I also heard they are out of the US 110v plugs from other sites. Based on what I read so far I am impressed to give them a try.

Thanks Simon.

Yeah, that's a good one Paul. Have you seen the new on on the vendors site? It's near the bottom of the page. It's the best one I've seen.

yea ive been searching up and down for more vids. Im just wondering if i should wait for the wp 25 and get 2 or just get one wp 40 for my 36. lol there is just no way i could justify spending 400 dollars for a mp 40.

Paul, I saw that video too. It appears the noise is coming from the water lapping and not coming from the pump. I also think he ran the pump too fast. A much gentler wave will be preferred

i was hoping the noise was just the water. now simon, i see that you have a mp40. Do the "vortech" style pumps keep the detritus suspended well? i have a bb tank and the wp 40 would be my first.

Thanks Simon.

I saw that too. The pump is very quiet as you could clearly hear the conversation in the background even though I didn't understand a word said

I have one MP40 that is 2 yo and another one 10 mon old. I have replaced the wet side on the 2 yo pump twice because of excessive chattering. The pump is out of warranty and I have to pay almost $100 to replace. MP40 is a good pump if it runs quiet but my experience has not been good with at least one of the two.

These pumps are getting recognized on a lot of forums seems a lot of people are gonna try em out , sure hope they don't break after a month lol

For those of us taking the plunge we are well aware of the risk. What upsets me the most is spending $450 on a Vortech MP40 and still have to go thru the hassle of returning a chattering wet side in less than 2 months.

Ya but atleast ecotech has excellent customer service you can't argue that. What happens when the jebo breaks? Nobody knows yet how they are gonna handle this. But I'm with you it's worth the risk I think, ill be picking a couple up me thinks

My thinking is this. If I have to get a new one every year, I will break even with a MP40 after 5 yrs. If it doesn't, I just lost $100 and start looking for a used MP40. If it lasts 2 yrs, I am ahead of the game. Of course it all depends on how well the WP40 performs.
