anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Pre-order says 10% off, but where do you get that? I ordered one today and it was still $85+shipping....I forgot about the 3%, but meh. I'm not THAT cheap.

Nevermind, turns out I never selected what type of plug I needed. That's where the discount is applied as well. So cool, I got no discount and no power cord. Me thinks the site should validate whether you selected a plug or not. I sent them a message to see what they can do about it.

you can bet apc will come up with a cable if these become really popular with reefers such as our self's

APC comes with two Tunze adapter cables. If the RA cable connector can plug right into the Tunze adapter cable or right into the APC port, then there is no need for another cable.

so are you suggesting just one? i will also have my return pump on the opposite end of the tank

i would try 1 .. i have a 180 tall and im going to try 1 and see what happens my tank is 72x22x26 i think 1 would do the trick .. right now im running 5 power heads .. 3 750s and 2 1050s on a ocean pulse with a reef flo main pump .. not happy but its working for not .. i think its worth a try to these

Guys I had my WP40 for a few days now, running at full voltage, W1, and knob turn all the way to the right. Its pretty loud, comparable to a MP40. Its very annoying. I can hear it when watching TV in the next room.

I think we may have found its first bad review here. I want to wait longer to see if the noise level would decrease. Seems like all you guys who run it on a voltage power supply have not noticed any noise yet. Can one of you guys confirm if running on lower voltage produce less noise vs running at full power?

If less noise can be maintained at lower voltage, then I may just have to get a 2nd WP40 running at lower voltage.

can you make a video of it with the noise .. would love to hear it .. i prob would not hear it over my skimmer pump and my reef flo .. they have a good lil hummmm to it ..

Is that the pump noise or vibration noise thru the glass? If vibration noise thru glass, do you have the rubber suction cups covering the magnets on both sides of glass, check the vibration dampening pegs and/or move to a different location on tank to see if noise reduces. If pump noise there is not much you can do about it. Mine are pretty quiet.

I posted a video a few pages back.

I'm sure its the noise of the pump, but will go double check to see if this is a vibration issue.

One out of my three pumps is quite noisy, another one is inline with a large Koralia, and then I have one that is almost dead silent. This is the noise level when running at there highest output, when running on there lowest setting they are all quiet.

They are not all created equal out of the box, now we just just need to figure out what's causing the additional noise from the pumps...

You sent a payment of $100.55 USD to Tak Shun Wong

oh yeah!
i hope the RA jebao cable works with the reefkeeper. if not ill have to order that thing from amazon to slow it down some.

Cool ,will let you know how this pump works with the apc and RA cable as soon as they arrive..

i really hope this works!

for a 220 gallon tank what would work best 1 at full power or 2 on 15v? tank dimensions 72x30x24

I just received mine, and am running 1 @ 24v on a 180G (72x24x24). I'm not sure why everybody is worrying about it moving to much water? I was going to replace 2 Sicce Voyager HP-2800's with this, but am going to have to order another one, since this definitely isn't enough for this tank. The output feels pretty close to the Voyager's output. Not as quiet as my Voyager's, but love the modes! Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality and performance of these powerheads... especially for the money! So I would definitely recommend 2 of these for your tank. I did buy the variable power supply, but not sure if I have any use for it at this time. "Glad I never bought into the MP40 Hype"

Cheers, Michael

Just hooked up mine in my 75gal. Even at full power, I don't feel like it's too much. Basically seems just as powerful as my mp40. No more no less. It does seem MUCH easier to make big waves though. I just threw it in else mode and called it a day. It's hilarious that else mode sounds like the music in an 8 bit video game. Every time I look at the tank it sounds like I'm playing the 'dungeon level.' That being said, when it's just left in a constant high power mode it's quieter than the mp40.

I would recommend 2 of these pump for a 220g. I would think the else mode has a nice effect for turbulent flow if there is a WP40 on each end of the 220g.

michaellee .. so its not enuff to put a way across your tank even at full power

In the W1 mode at full power, it will create a wave all across the tank. I only have 1" to the lip, and it is not enough to splash over. I guess I'm used to a little more flow, so I'm going to order another one. If it was a 125G it would probably be enough. I'm not sure until I get another one, if I'm going to have to reduce the power to them. But I would recommend these to anybody without hesitation!

going from 2 koralia 1050's in the front, tunze 660 in the rear, i hope to see good results. to me, my current setup does NOT have enough flow to get detrius off the sand...

im visioning in my head that when i plug this pump in the detrius is gonna go crazy!

I have one WP-40 and one Korilla 1400 running and it's WAY more flow than I need if I din't crank the WP-40 down to 16V. Detrius? What's that? Haven't seen any of that in years :-)
