anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Stupid phone, I meant getting another one. I don't keep many lps, and I don't have any softies. Plus I have a bare bottom tank. The fish all seem fine, I think I could run another one and kill any dead spots. I'll give it some time to see how things react though.

Okay, so let me clarify: I heard back from Jebao. It is possible to order from them but I went ahead and ordered from fish street. There is a reason I didn't order from Jebao.....please don't PM me asking how you can get one from Jebao. Sorry, not trying to be rude but I can't respond to PMs all day and let's just say it's not cost effective to order from Jebao otherwise I would have.

Just ordered 2 more..... 1 more for the 180G & 1 for the 90G! Fish-Street is currently out of stock, but is offering 10% off for pre-ordering, and if you use the coupon code "fishstreet" it will give you another 3% off! So 2 shipped to my door for a grand total of $195.51. Wish shipping was cheaper.... but I still managed to score 3 of these for less than 1 MP40w!!!

You can order directly from Jebao but there is a minimum of 50 pumps and anything less than 200 pumps has a $1000 shipping rate (regardless).

Heck, I'm thinking of getting another for my 75. Does that make me crazy?

I have a rock wall all the way up my back glass and it's 100% covered with sps, lps and a few softie corals. The WP40 was pointed toward the front glass, but there was enough flow to really PO my Yellow Fuji Leather, and a big hammer coral. It killed a nice duncan in just 2 days that was a foot away and off to the side. I'm not saying you're crazy, I'm just saying be careful and good luck.

Hmm, perhaps I should play with placement some. I put it in the exact spot the MP40 was in pointing straight out so I could get a good comparison. (worked just as well btw) It's currently on the side glass towards the back blowing across the back of the tank. This makes a really nice gyre throughout the tank, but there is a dead spot right under some rock I'd like to get rid of. Makes siphoning out the detritus difficult.

Perhaps I'll point the powerhead slightly towards the back of the rocks so detritus is blown to the front of the tank where it would be easily siphoned. Then again, I feal like this would negatively impact the flow my corals are getting.

Got a buddy that is Hong Kong now. Any idea where he could pick up another one for me?

His best bet is go to Mong Kok Fish Street (an actual street not related to Fish-Street.com) where there are over one hundred LFSs on the same street within a quarter mile. Fish-Street.com's business arrangement with Jebao is that they cannot sell to HK, only internationally. Your friend should be able to find the WP40s in one of those stores. What I heard is the WP40 is selling around $67USD.

I am sorry but I laughed, any updates on the wp25 release date? I am thinking one of these would make a maelstrom of my 60 cube. :reading:

Sounds right. I looked them up on taobao and they range from ¥369-580, so ~$60-90 USD. I was going to order from there, but it's kind of hard. I also can't tell how much shipping would run me. Says ¥12-20, but not sure if that would include international.

I ordered one yesterday (3-21) around two pm. I still haven't recieved any info on it other than a conformation of purchase. How long are they taking to get them shipped out? I seen on their web site earlier that they were back to "pre-order" status so now I'm worried I'll be waiting a little longer! Maybe I should not have been a procrastinator! The variable voltage whatchamadanky I ordered at the same time from amazon has already shipped. Thx

Mystery solved....it was in the back if the carriers truck. He claimed he didn't see it. Can't wait to test this out tonight.

I'm on my 3-4th day of using this pump and I've noticed that on W1 mode, when the pump stops and spins again, sometimes the propeller doesn't spin on the first couple rotations and makes a clicking noise like it's trying to start back up but can't. Has anyone else seen this happen? It'll spin again but only after like the 2nd or 3rd attempt. I'll try to get a video of it.

Make sure ur light sensor isnt flickering on and off mine was

Man, received my pump last night, and hooked it up today.

And nothing. Can't get the pump to fire up and there are no lights at all on the controller. spent 20 minutes pushing the buttons and turning the knob and nothing.

So disappointed...
