anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I thought this was what was done in post #1818.

I find myself googling what I want to find and adding reef central to the search. I love this forum but the search function seems very weak.

That's right. nunodinis already posted what you need to work with Arduino Uno to control this pump. He has 6 modes already programmmed in the codes and is working on using a pot to adjust the speed of the pump manually. He also posted a video earlier showing the working model.

Guys,

Lowering the voltage might shorten the pumps life...
BTW, my first experiment was plug a 3V battery to va and it worked, i'm now working on the potentiometer wich would cost around 20 cents and its very easy to plug.
My hardest chalenge will be soldering all the components and using a tension regulator to convert the 24V to 5V and feed the arduino, so then we would only need one power supply.
As for my schema there are 2 pushbuttons, one to feed mode and the other to change modes but just using 4 leds.
So...
Mode 1 - led 1 on and the others off
Mode 2 - led 2 on and the other off
And so on until mode 5 where there should be led 1 and 2 on.
Mode 6 - led 1 and 3 on.

Actually its a 4 number scale, like binnary but with 4 numbers.

Hope to buy the potentiomer soon, but its easter time and everything is closed...

I agree with moatdaddy that his reference to a link of a product on eBay is simply informational and not trying to sell or promote such a product for financial gain. Thinking of jumping on the Jebo WP-40 band wagon, just a quick question before I hit the checkout button on the FS site. I have a standard 90 gal (48x24x18) tank, others that have purchased (1) WP-40 with a 48" long tank are you truly happy with the pump or do you think that (2) of the WP-25's (whenever they come out) would be a better way to go.
 
The rumored specs on the WP25 put it as a much weaker pump, more suitable for small tanks. I have 1 on a standard 75 gal running full power. I think it does a great job. If I had a 90, I would probably get a second wp40. I almost got a second for my 75, but decided it would be a bit overkill.

I have a WP40 on my 90 and this thing moves some serious water. I will be putting a 1050-1400 koralia behind my rock work, but that's more to make sure there are no dead spots buried back there. otherwise this thing is pretty much all I need for an SPS tank imo.

edit: I MIGHT get a WP25 when they come out & turn the 40 down to 18-20V just to get a little bit more randomness going.
 
Just a quick observation for anyone wondering about the noise produced by these pumps. I had been running mine on 16v with the Amazon variable voltage power supply. At 16v the pump was dead silent. I upped the voltage to 20v and now the pump does produce audible noise. It' still very quite by my standards though.

I'm in the market for a 2nd powerhead to go on the opposite side of my hydor 1400. Does anyone have any opinions if I should get another hydor1400 or the jebo
