For a hundred bucks I think I'll try one. Hopefully I can use it to set up a standing wave in my 120.
Nunodinis, your statement seems uncertain. Can you substantiate this statement with documented proof? At what lower voltage will it "not" shorten the life of this very pump?

I finally talked my wife into letting me get one of these. The one thing is that I want to use one in a 150 gallon 5' tank, would one be enough along with my tunze wavebox (6215)? Or would it be overkill?
haha i have coors light in the fridge, does that count as better, has a wide mouth can and 2, yes i said 2 cold indicators!!
Simon you should be safe down to 12V (and anything up to 24V). The manufacturer lists the pumps as operating on 12V or 24V.

Mine got to San Francisco 2 days ago..... Hopefully it will be here today. Probably will USPS seems to deliver 2 days ahead of schedule every time they are my carrier.
Does anyone have thoughts on how this would function in a 150DD (basically 36" square)? Reading through this thread it seems most people are running them across at least a 48" side. I would love to replace some of the assortment of mix and match power heads with a single solution but I am guessing this would just be too forceful if it only has 36" it can flow.
FYI some of the ebay sellers will accept offers on these with us shipping. I got one for 100 shipped off ebay.
