anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I finally talked my wife into letting me get one of these. The one thing is that I want to use one in a 150 gallon 5' tank, would one be enough along with my tunze wavebox (6215)? Or would it be overkill?

I'm in the market for a 2nd powerhead to go on the opposite side of my hydor 1400. Does anyone have any opinions if I should get another hydor1400 or the jebo

they're in completely different leagues... you're debating between 1400gph or 3400 ghp... that's 100% up to you

One moves 2x the water, one is controllable, one is 2x the price....your call based on what you want/need. I replaced two 1050s with an MP40 and left a 1400. So now I am replacing the MP40 and 1400 with two WP40s.

I know in total I would have to go with 2 hydor1400s to even remotely come close to a jebo wp40. I guess I may just watch out for it for the time being and jump on it. I wanted to get more flow for the sps since as of right now I only have 2 hydors and a return that is pretty weak.

So in your opinion, the mp40 would be a waste of $$ compared to this?

It's not a waste of money if the advantages of the MP40 make it worth the extra $350 dollars. They keep heat out of the water, they are smaller in the tank, they have better controller and they are easy to link to a reef controller. If that's worth $350 to you, then the MP40 is what you need. My gut tells me most people can live the the heat and size of the WP40, the controller and reef controller compatibility is a bigger question. But I'll bet that in 2013 Jebao will sell WAY more WP40's than Eco Tech will sell MP40's. Now, which company will make more profit may be a tougher call. :bounce3:

I don't need it to be that reef compatible since I actually don't run a controller (apex, RK, etc.) I run ai sols so they have their own controller.

Heat isn't an issue because it just reduces work for my heater..lol and size isnt an issue since Hydors cover a big area already. Guess I'll have to grab one to try for myself!

haha i have coors light in the fridge, does that count as better, has a wide mouth can and 2, yes i said 2 cold indicators!!

well right now fish-street is offering 10% off since they are on back order.....its time for me to pull the trigger. Just trying to decide if I need 1 or 2
