anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Is the RA+ worth it over the RA? $50 for 256k memory is quite a bit.

I went with the RA+ to start with. That way I can include all the menus and other bells-n-whistles that I want without having to worry about memory all the time. If you read through the RA forums you will see that lack of memory is a common issue when you have more than a couple of add-ons or get too crazy with nifty features/code.

Some of what the RA users are doing now with tidal flow and weather simulation does take a bit of memory. It's worth it in my opinion.

Waiting on the WP 25's to come out before deciding which pump/pumps to go with.

Same here. The WP40 is a bit too large and too much flow for my 65. I'll probably try two of the 25s when they come out but I'm still on the fence. I'd like to see how they actually hold up over time.

I love the WP40 but I have decided I need to use one of my Korilla 1400's to alternate flow in the tank. My softies and LPS were just too windswept looking with just the WP40. When the WP25 comes out I will get one and put it opposite of the WP40 and remove the 1400

I placed my controller on top of the canopy where there is not much light the light sensor just kept switching the controller back and forth between regular and night mode. I got rid of it and just use my RKE to turn it off at night. I guess you can wire a pot and insert it into the port and turn it down manually at night to slow down the pump.

So without a controller I'm left using a timer or is their a better light sensor maybe....?

I am an RKE user for many years and have not paid much attention to open source controllers like ReefAngel until now. I am impressed with how quickly they can react to new product like the WP40 and will look into RA more in depth. Who knows may be I will be selling my RKE too:lol: Anyone trying to talk me out of going down this path?

i am a RKE user too, i dont have problem with the controller,
but an extra Lights-Pumps dedicated controller will be nice...

I see on their website that all "pre-order" customers will receive an additional light sensor for free. Perhaps they are aware of a potential issue with the sensors themselves, or perhaps not and it is indeed just an added bonus for pre-order customers.

I have the non plus RA and in worried about having two mp25s will all of the custom functions. They have written the reef crest mode already and it looks pretty lengthy (more bytes). Will see, but can always upgrade to the plus chip

Bhazard, I know you were successful in getting the same PMW module that Floyd used to work. What about this PMW module you mentioned earlier which is 1/4 the price of the one Floyd used? Will it work also?

Did we decide this one WILL work with the POT? I just got the PWM yesterday and shelved it as I thought it wouldn't work based on my following of the thread. . . And I'm pretty happy at full 24v. . . If it does I'll add it just in case.

Ordered mine last wednesday(3/6) got an email from eric this morning saying itll be shipping in 2-3 days. This is for all of you that have been asking about how long for preorder shipments.

I'm going to try it again later.

LOL! If one is useless having another one doesn't do much good. It costs them pennies to include an extra sensor. What we need is a better sensor.

Good to know, here's to hoping my order goes out in a similar fashion.

just ordered mine....hopefully it will hold on 3/4" glass.

Steve - I see you are on the bandwagon :). They had some info on glass thickness towards the beginning of the thread. The supplied magnet is not as thick as Tunze magnets.

Thanks Henry. I have some extra magnets laying around from an old 6305 I had that died on me. I'll see if that works. If not it will be perfect in my frag tank.

If not it does have a suction on the wet side too. I pulled my outside magnet off and the pump stayed put without it.

Great! I'm anxious to see how this will work on my 72"x36" tank.
