anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I got mine. Here it is in my 120g... My tank actually hold really close to 110g of water without any live rocks.
Why do you think that?...the average 120g is probably closer to 100g...
Is it bigger than 48x24x24?
If it is 'filled to the brim', a 'wave' pump would be a problem.

I obviously did not know that...

Water is filled 2" away from the brim. No problems yet.
Basically, the gist of what I'm saying is that it holds more water than other 120g tanks with live rocks, which is important to know for those people with 120g tanks.

well i just received my 2 i ordered one works great the other is doa so will see how customer service is. my first thoughts were great wave maker. it doesnt push as much water as my mp40s but for the money not bad

What makes you think that it's so much smaller? If a 120g tank is 4' x 2' x 2', that's 16 cubic feet and at 7.5g/cu ft that's just 120g on the nose. Just curious.

The actual volume is based on 'inside' measurements...a 48"x24"x24" tank with 1/2" glass is ~47x23x21 (filled 2" from top)... Some tank builders measure the overall height of tank including plastic trim (top and bottom) so actual glass height is less than 24".

So a 48x24x24h /120g tank is probably 47x23x21h (inside)....and holds 98g...without sand/LR and vacant areas of overflows

I have no experience with either then Vortech MP40 or the Jebco WP40, but am looking at it because of the much smaller price.
From the picture on the sellers website the Jebco looks a lot bigger than the Votech.
I'm assuming since I haven't seen anything mention about that in this thread that the image must be an illusion fro the angle and depth of water it was shot at.

Is this correct or is there a size difference between the two pumps.

There's multiple posts in the thread about the size of this pump. while we keep comparing it to an MP40 because of the name, it's more like a tunze pump. check back a few pages, somebody posted pics of it next to 2 different Tunze pumps. yes, it's bigger than an MP40

That's a very poor picture to use to compare the size of the two pumps as the Jebo WP40 is clearly closer to the camera than the MP40 which makes the WP40 much larger.

There are many pictures and videos in earlier posts in this thread showing these two pumps side by side.

SimonSKL that's what I thought too, but I just wanted to be sure.
I've been working my wat thru the 58 pages of posts and had not gotten to the post with the comparison against the Tunze 6055 and 6045.

I just found it after NyteGTI pointed it out to me.

It doesn't look that bad and seems to be about the size of one of my JBJ Oceanstrean's.

Thanks.

I'm seriously considering this.
It's going on my list after new DYI LED's.

For the record guys the wp40 name is not a rip off of the mp40. All, or most of the pumps jebao makes, begin with wp. Also jebao is not jebo, or Odessa. Jeabo makes pumps.

I can't take credit for this, a member from my local reef club found this information. just thought I would share.

Also my local reef club did get a groupbuy price and shipping directly from the manufacturer. This comes out to be about half of fish-streets price with shipping.

I just emailed Jebao. I think Jebo is based in California. Even though fish street has Jebo as the manufacturer, I believe it is really Jebao because the WP fits their naming convention. Trying to figure out if they really do sell direct at a better price or not. I have a feeling the moment I order mine from fish street the deal will surface.

RR let me know if you do find out .. would rather be dialed into the US then over seas ..
