anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I'm on my 3-4th day of using this pump and I've noticed that on W1 mode, when the pump stops and spins again, sometimes the propeller doesn't spin on the first couple rotations and makes a clicking noise like it's trying to start back up but can't. Has anyone else seen this happen? It'll spin again but only after like the 2nd or 3rd attempt. I'll try to get a video of it.

Did you plug the pump into one of the RKL PC4 outlets or regular outlet? If one of the PC4 outlets, make sure it is not set with some kind of intermittent off and on settings for wavemakers.

Just received my two. Ordered on the 13th. These things are a BEAST. If you have not received yours yet get ready for an awakening. The videos, and I have watched pretty much all of them do not do these things justice. I thought in my head from the videos that I had a good idea about how strong they are, I WAS WRONG. These things move a MASSIVE amount of water. And they truly are about the size of a softball.

yea, that's why I decided on two - I will hook them up to my RA and run them lower. I have read a bunch of stuff on flow, turbulence, ext. and it seems like two opposite pumps with random flow is "better" for a sps dominate reef...who knows, haha, ask 10 people, get 12 different answers.

Also, I dont know if it will work with the apex, but RA has the cable up for presale $25.

Obviously we all have an interest in obtaining the pumps cheap as possible. Personally, I want to get them at a discounted rate so I can buy 3 or 4 and build a stand-alone multichannel controller for them. I don't need that many pumps, so I'm trying not to spend too much on the project in the interim. If someone wants to donate a few pumps to me for R&D purposes I'd be okay with that too. :D

Unfortunately, I don't even have an empty slot on my PC4. It's plugged in directly to a regular outlet right now.

Fish-Street may be looking into including a variable power supply as an option!

What??? That's awesome. A local reefer in my area actually purchased these pumps for even cheaper through taobao (China's ebay). The only problem is that you'll have to convert the website to English or know how to read simplified Chinese. haha.

I've been following along daily since about the time reeferron and then bhazard spoke of these in the "chinese led" thread. I jumped to this one and have been following religousily. I just purchased A wp40 and the variable voltage adapter for my 90g rr lps tank (standard dimensions). I was holding out for the release of the wp25 but i cant take the sight of the two sicce voyager 4's currently occupying my tank walls and the dead spots in my tank!!! The voyagers are great pumps and are silent on the smartwave- but are big, bulky, and do not have near the water movement and features as the wp40. From what i've seen this pump is a game changer and does what it's advertised as doing. Hopefully it is as reliable and holds up to the test of time! The videos simonskl has posted of the wp40 has me convinced that my tank needed one!

RA is taking pre orders for their jebao cable that should work on the apex and rkl. Oh and he got the ban hammer :-(

PM me a link James please. BTW, wth? he was contributing a lot to this site, real bummer he got banned. I hope he is still posting somewhere about this.

This cable will allow me to connect to my apex and run self created variable speed profile correct? Has anyone tried running any of the preprogrammed Vortech profiles ?
