Here's a funny one. I've got the WP40 set in W1 longest wave mode, and I mentioned that I could see the wave in the tank made by the WP40 as I pulled into the driveway and she was like "is that what sounds like a breast pump?"

LOL

Funny you mentioned about breast pump. I was around my tank this morning and I heard some pulsing noise. I thought that was odd as I never heard that before from my two WP40s even though one of them was set at W1. After some investigation, it turned out my visiting daughter-in-law was using a breast pump in the other room. I can say the noise from W1 mode is nothing like a breast pump noise:)

Long story short....I messed up the control box & now have to replace the connector that connects to the pump. Anyone know what kind of connector it is & where I can find it?

Nope. Sell it to me cheap:D

How'd you end up doing that?

definitely a great pump but not getting much of a wave on my 72x36x28 tank. I do get a nice swell and some decent movement in the tank. If I can figure out some nice compliment programs with my 6105's I will be all set.

SPotter, thats good to know about not much of a wave. Some of the videos are more wave action than I would want.
I have a 72x36x27 tank with 4 tunzes 6105. I should receive my 2 wp-40's first of the week. I plan to mount them close to the bottom to avoid the waves.
How many do you have, and how are they placed in tank?

I'm going to be putting 1 on my 55, I'll let you know how it is when I get it.

As far as your DIY ?, I'm not sure why you would want to do that the MP40 has a night mode built into it with a light sensor, so when it gets dark it automatically goes into night mode, but I'm sure you could do it.

The reason that I would want to do that is to be able to run a day and a nite mode like intended. Not sure what it would be turned down to in "day" mode but to be able to turn it down farther for a "night" mode is what intregues me. And all of this without a controller because I dont have one

I would post on the Reefangel forum and ask Roberto. He managed to find a compatible connector for his RA harness so he ha a source for them.

Right now I just have the one wp40. I started with it placed at the middle of an end panel pointed up. Everything on the other end of the tank was blowing around at 24v. I moved it higher and was able to get a slightly bigger swell but nothing I would call a wave. I run 2 6105's and put one next to the wp40 set on a similar pulse program at 50% intensity and was amazed at the current it created. I saw debris being pushed out from caves and rock formations and riding to the top of the tank in the current. I'm still undecided if I will get another.

I have two in my 300(72" x 30" x 30") with a tunze wavebox and one will out do the wavebox had to lower them because water was coming out of the tank. So if you lower them in the tank you will get less of a wave.
