anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Okay just wanted to share my diy interface with the group. I used the drawings from earlier in this thread and added an 24v dpdt relay for the battery backup. I currently only have one wp40, but I made one with two leads so it will handle on variable port from the apex and two pumps. The second power is for the batter backup. I've got the battle ry, just need to find a charger and I'll be in business. I will try to upload a pic.

Here is the pic. The old controller is there for scale, it is not being used. Total project cost about $60

The two knobs are 2 amp fuses. The design is from (or was inspired by) the Tunze safety controller tear down by rossco on the Australian board (same rossco as here??)

I have one WP40 and it's just plugged into an Apex outlet. I set the feed mode to shut off when in feed mode on the Apex. Also have it shut off for 5 min every 45 min with an OSC command. It commplements 2 Tunze 6045's. The WP40 is a good solid product.

Just put my new WP-40 on a 150 gal (60x24x24) tank and wow... once dialed in, it can make such a big wave that I'm afraid to walk away from it, lol!

That doesn't look like a Jabao WP40. It looks like a Vortech MP40!

That's quite impressive. I have been looking thru this thread a bit but honestly I think that I get a touch of ADD and start jumping around a bit. On fishstreet, they're showing the WP40 and a 12 mode controller but I see where people are putting dimmers on it also. Is this because they have the older style controller?
I have the same size tank as yours but only with 1 overflow. In the video, are you only using the WP40?
Also why do some people use a 24 volt power supply? (I may not have been patient enough in my reading to find this out)
Thanks in advance for any advice or help anyone can offer.

Yes, the WP-40 was the only thing running during this video.
The original WP-40 only had one speed, TURBO! The new one allows you to select 3 different speeds. People using dimmers are using them for more control of the speed, and to use with their controllers (btw if anyone has one hooked up to a RKL, please let me know!)

XSDBS;

People are using 24V power supplies, because that's the the 40 and 25 use.
Some are getting variable voltage power supplies to reduce the speed.
Running it at 100% on 12v is like running it at 50% on 24v.

You can reduce the voltage to the controller either with a dimmer or a variable voltage power supply.

shlap;

The three speeds S1, S2 & S3 only work on the W1 mode.
Also I have not seen anyone successfully controlling it with an RKL, beside just on and off.
