anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

XSDBS;
The three speeds S1, S2 & S3 only work on the W1 mode.

Oh thanks Sacohen, good to know... On the 150gal, I'm always on S1 so never noticed :lmao:

I really want to control the speed at night with my RKL though.. hope someone gets this working!

Just got mine I ordered 4 for my tank just put them all together I'm totally amazed with the performance of this pumps them 4 replace one MP-40 and Two tunze 6105..
Very happy with the customer service and the communication plus I got my pumps in three days from china that's a hell of a shipping I can't even get that here with national stores Love them.....

thank you and shlap for your help. Here's a slightly dumb question, what's RKL?
Would a single WP 40 be good for my 60x24x24 tank or would I be better off using 2 WP25's with one at opposite ends of the tank? Thanks again

** on a different note, I'm taking it that this is the newest technology instead of using closed loops, is this correct? I've been out of the hobby for a few years but I'm back into it. Had a big loss a couple years ago when I came home from vacation to find a dead tank because electricity was off for a couple days.

RKL = Reef Keeper Light.

There were some other expert guys on here, but basically from my reading as a 1yr noob. Seems like a ton of effort and complications and difficult to get just right. With such nice power heads seems silly to me to use anything but.

Price is so similiar, newer wp40's with speed control x2 might be best. (Certainly won't lack, and can turn it down to 50% if need be.) I havn't used my wp25 yet so I've heard conflicting on it's power. (Much more focused I guees? Opposing with one blasting behind rockwork might work.)

RKL is Reef Keeper Lite which is a computer reef controller.

I went with 2 WP25's on my 180g mixed reef. I had a WP40 and switched when the WP25's came out. And I put them on timers so they run 8 hours each with a 2 hour overlap, so I have typical, average 6 hour tidal flows. The coral get current from both ends (better for them... slightly) and I just think it's cool to have lights doing sunrise and sunsets with pumps doing tidal flows.

I wouldn't say 'instead of using closed loops" but as an alternative to a CL, or as in my case, in addition to a CL.

i really wonder if Jebo will come out a controller to control the wave makers wirelessly

Not for the price we paid for the pump. Wireless communication adds a new level of technology along with additional cost. If Jebao wants to become Tunze or Ecotech, they should continue to improve their products with new features and functionalities. If they just want to be mass producer of low cost products, we won't see further refinement.

Yes.

This is what I posted in the WP60 thread...

I just got an e-mail from Wynstan at Jebao on the WP-60.
He said ...

The WP-60 will be release by the end of this month,
flow rate is about 20000L/H;

I won't hold my breath on the end of the month, we've heard that before.
As far as the flow of 20000L/H that's about 5283.44 US gallons. That's a bunch of water.

Again, the flow on the 25 was not what they said it would be when it was finally released.

There is talk about a WP-10 also, but I haven't been able to get any information on that pump from them.

Yeah I got the same info along with some pictures and a video of it making some huge waves in a 180g.

understood. there is a 3rd party controller which can be controlled wirelessly for the wp60/25 :

if i'm reading that correctly, you still need 1 controller for each pump, and then you can set them up to sync with each other wirelessly like the vortech's? if thats the case I will just buy the reef angel controller.

So the WP40'S were too much for your 180???

I have two WP40'S on my 210gal and am thinking of replacing one with a wp60 when they come out. More flow baby more flow!!!
