anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I have just 1 wp40 on the far end of a 6' peninsula (125g)with overflow box on the opposite end. It can be too much at times. On a higher setting it splashed out the end where the overflow is. I also have 2 returns, 1 at mid depth on the overflow end and one that runs the length of the tank below the LR Like a spraybar. To keep the water from overflowing I had to lower my surface level. I think it all depends on the setup of the tank and coral type plus other current involved for how many you will need.

So one of the pump keep losing power in else mode :( seems after feed mode works fine for a little while then hits like 50% but still in else perfect for a smaller tank but I like full power on my 65gal.

Have you taken it out and cleaned it yet to see if that helps? I noticed that these pumps can suck in food and it gets stuck in it. It gets a lot of build up so once or twice a week I blow it out with the turkey baster but take it out every other week and clean it well.

Hi guys,

I want to ask those who own the pump with the new controller, if it keeps its setting after a power failure. For instance if I set it to run at 50%, after the power is on again, it will start at 50% or will it go to max speed? I just don't want to spill any water from the tank...

Jebao WP40 is excellent!

Jebao WP40 is excellent!

Been using tis for about 3 months already and it works very well for my 60+ gallon reef tank! Pic is not exactly the latest as there have been many more new inclusions.

I live in FL and have lost my power several times. So far so good :)

I have 2 wp40s on my 125 controlled by my apex. They run great with lots of flow. Run them about 70 percent and it blows the sand around a bit but not bad. I like them very much, especially for the price.

So if I understand correctly, there are 2separate controllers when using 2wp25s. I wasn't sure if they were both on a single controller..

QUOTE=Ron Reefman;21834679]RKL is Reef Keeper Lite which is a computer reef controller.

I went with 2 WP25's on my 180g mixed reef. I had a WP40 and switched when the WP25's came out. And I put them on timers so they run 8 hours each with a 2 hour overlap, so I have typical, average 6 hour tidal flows. The coral get current from both ends (better for them... slightly) and I just think it's cool to have lights doing sunrise and sunsets with pumps doing tidal flows.

I wouldn't say 'instead of using closed loops" but as an alternative to a CL, or as in my case, in addition to a CL.[/QUOTE]

Yes the stock pump would need 2 separate controllers to run them.

You can hook multiple pumps up to an Apex or Reef Angel and that would be 1 controller that is controlling them seperatley via 2 different control ports.

Yes I took it apart and checked the prop every thing looks fine.

I'm thinking its more of power issue maybe :(

I don't know if I asked you or someone else.

Do you have a dimmer or variable output power supply or is it just the stock controller and PS?

question about the light sensor on the control box. where does the control box have to be mounted for the light sensor to realize the lights are off in the tank. ive read that they aren't good to put near the light cause it will damage the sensor. so im not sure where to mount the controllers.

are they to be mounted high near the canopy to recognize when the tank has the lunar lights on? or mount them to the stand so they just get the light that's coming out from the actual tank itself? does your lighting in your room affect the sensor and the modes?

If you are using the light sensor that comes with the pump it should be mounted in a place where it can see that the daylights are on (when they are), but also close enough to the moonlights to let the sensor see the moonlights are on.

The sensor does not light complete darkness.

Some people have mounted the controller in their cabinet because there is enough light that spills in during the day to turn the night sensor off. If you do that it will not see that the moonlights are on so you can place it near the orange or read switch from a power strip. That will give the sensor enough light to keep to in night mode at night.

This has to be the best purchase I've made for my tank next to the easy blade scraper.lol I have my controller mounted on the top left of the stand and when the lights in the room go off on timer the night mode kicks in. Not a problem so far. The TV is about 18" away from the sensor and the light from the Tv does not affect the sensor. Working out great for me in that respect.

im thinking of mounting them on the outside part of the stand near the front of the stand so the light spilling thru the tank on the sides helps the sensor. I have a good amount of LED blue lunars so I would think it will be able to pick up the change from the VHO actinics to the lunar lights thru the side glass of the tank?

Though I love the wp40 there is 2 things I'd like to see improved. 1/ the mounting ability of the controller. It just doesn't stay stuck :( and 2/ I think the sensor should habe been glued in place or able to "lock" into place. Well maybe one other thing... the cord from PH to controller just 1 foot longer. If you place this PH where it belongs on the far end of a 6' tank with a canopy it can't be mounted on the opposite end if you have a peninsula set up. All this said, it's still the best bang for your buck!

I never did order one from Fish Street yet, and was just about to, when i hit the shipping page i started thinking... I have ordered stuff from HK before, usually it arrives marked as a gift, and probably under value of the actual purchase price, but i never had any say it that, thats just how it came. Here though, i have options to avoid the gift and the undervalue of it. Is that even legal? What happens if i uncheck those options anyway? Who pays what when that is done correctly?

I've never seen anyone have a problem with them staying stuck in position.
They have a very strong magnet on each side of the glass that holds them in place, although the WP25 did have a version that had the suction cup mount only.

I don't know anyone who got that model.

As with the light sensor, I never had mine come out the only people I had with that was that it was very sensitive and needed some light in order to work.

I was speaking of the controller not the PH mounting. The sticky pad doesn't stay stuck and there is no option on it to screw it to the wall.
