Aquacontroller III Pro vs. ProfiLux II Pro

The $449 $499 and $599 packages being offered right now are actually lower than you would get offered on any group buy.

So there is no miss conception our dealers are not able to offer prices lower than these, this is base line price. This is not us or dealers being inflexible but a case that the prices are so low that there literally is no further to drop, I had to twist some big arms just to get agreement on these prices as dealers literally are making the most tiniest of margins. I can not ask my dealers to start cutting even,, or worse making a loss, that makes no sense and no company would entertain that.

The reason we asked our dealers to do these very limited time offers is to help great reef keepers like yourself get into profilux when price is very important.

If you are interested in ProfiLux I strongly suggest looking at one of these packs as this price (especially the $449 pack) is not going to around for long.

So to clarify - Group buy or single buy the cheapest package offered will be $449.

Best wishes
Michael

I will add one other thing.

If you are looking for a kit with more functionality i.e the advanced kit and upwards, then our dealers do have a bit more flexibility to work with you on price, although there is already a 10% discount already being offered.

As long as your group buy has enough interested parties I am sure our dealers will work with you on these kits.

Hope that helps

I actually think I spent Less going with the profilux over the neptune.

And yes I saw threads where others went through numerous temp probes
on the neptune, that kinda turned me off to them as well.

Can you give me a list of your dealers?

Not all sell through the website, we have no control over how they advertise.

The largest stock holders are Cherry corals and Socal tropical.

who have you been contacting? Tell me the names of the dealers you have contacted I will phone them right now. Better still if you can forward to me the emails you sent to them, forward to sales@aqua-digital.com we can then make sure all our dealers are responding to questions in a timely manner.

In the meantime for immediate shipment contact Cherry Corals they have huge stock of virtually everything you could need.

PM me your phone number I will have a dealer phone you within 30 minutes

Thanks

To clear any confusion, ALL our retailers will happily offer group buy discounts, but as also said earlier this does not include the special $449 $499 and $599 packs. The participants have to be more than 1 though ;)

I have forwarded your request on to our stock holding retailers who I know one of will make contact with you today.

Hope this has been helpful

Thanks. BTW, I'm interested in a group buy as well, ConcreteReefer. I'm really torn between the Profilux and the AQIII Pro and could be swung either way.

A question regarding the expansion slots. My understanding is there are 3 expansion slots. What are the top 5 most common uses for a slot and how much do each of those expansions cost?

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer all these questions.

Hi if you use the combined cards there are actually 6 slots.

3 actual and 3 combined virtual

If you go for a pack with the ProfiLux plus II ex then you have so much on board already, you would have trouble filling these slots.

Most people use them for LAn or WLAN so you can have internet access and remote control

or people like to have more 1-10V interfaces available for Tunze, dimmable ballasts, LED lights, fan controllers, and other items GHL will be launching this year. 3 out of 4 of those listed the AC cant do!

Another use that more and more people are getting into is air/humidity control, another advanced feature of the ProfiLux,

Also oxygen monitoring, these are all unique advanced features of the ProfiLux.

Web server is coming too now also!

What is worth remembering is that the EX comes with so many onboard features and ProfiLux this year is making some huge advances in what the controller can do, the pace of development is beyond anything else.

People are now doing the maths between the two controllers and to get even close to the level of features of the ProfiLux you have to have deep pockets when looking at other makes.

If you wish to drop Todd Cherry a line he is working on a group buy price today and will happily include you.

Thanks for the explanation. I tried sending you a PM, but your box is full. Anyway, if I understand you right, the EX version comes with a lot of things that would take an expansion slot on a middle or lower tier version. Is that right?
On the EX version, if I wanted a second pH monitored and controlled, would that require use of the expansion slot?
Next to last question: Do you guys sell a touch screen that can be attached, so that I can control it from one or is there another way to have an external screen which works better?
Finally, could you please PM me Rodd Cherry's email address. I don't know it. I'm going to ask for a quote as part of the group buy for a high end model.
Thanks!

Hiya

I dont know why that keeps happening I get this issue daily now, my inbox is empty.

You are correct, the EX does come with most things the expansion slots would be used for.

Yes a second pH can be fitted to an expansion and this can be doubled with a series of other features also, but most just opt for the Ph on its own.

Touch screen - never a good move with wet fingers, they simply do not react very well, this is somrthing I would avoid. GHL do make the Profiview II which is an external view screen. As all programming is simply controlled via the desk top software then this is the most comprehensive way of external access control.

Todd cherry email is Todd Cherry cherryproperty@sbcglobal.net

Does the EXtended Upgrade Kit, use one of the three expansion slots? or is it connected another way? From the attached picture I looks like it doesn't use an expansion slot.

I got my two Led Spots last night, which takes up the last of my 1-10v ports, and I want to get an I-Bar next so I'll make the EXtended Upgrade Kit my next purchase to get the L5/6 port.

I can't wait to get home and get these Simu LEDs hooked up. I've been looking forward to these since I got the Profilux.
