Thx worm . I always read but never join in so thought ide give it a go. But it's took me half hour to figure out how to reply. Return is in the top corner with double ovderflow and running 2 gyre for flow only set at power 4 . Get loads of flow so far, but still early days. I'll try and figure how to get a better picture. I loved this blog though when trying to set the scape out gave me lots of ideas.:bounce3:
Here's my 40 Gallon Breeder tank. I use about 40 lbs. of my 50 lbs. of rock and put it together like a puzzle. I used fiberglass rods and DryLok Fast plug to "glue" them together.
There are four separate standalone sections. Each have the bottoms cut flat and rest right on the glass. None of them can tip over and the two back large pieces only touch each other where they meet though they look like one solid structure. There is a lot of space all around them and in between with lots of shelves.
Will be putting the sand in today while I wait for my RODI unit to make some pure water.
Thanks. This is my first SERIOUS attempt at keeping a reef tank. I'm not new to aquascaping...(for past 35 years it was all freshwater planted tanks). My one and only previous attempt at a reef tank was a pile of rocks against the back wall years ago. Ugh!
Takin' my time, this time around. Lots of inspiration in the aquascaping threads here. So many beautiful tanks...hard to find a favorite.
