Awesome scape. Are you guys using bio pellets to compensate for the lack live rock or running it in a sump?
Thank you, no bio pellets, I am using 6L. of siporax for additional filtration in sump.

Thanks, I like it a lot, no issues at all. Just make sure you keep it clean, free of detritus and you will not have any problems with nitrates. I keep it in last part of my sump where return pump is, after filter socks and skimmer.
 
Halides are only there for a couple hours, I love the look and wouldn't have it any other way. But I have leds and t5 to save costs too.

I remember this, you did this with egg crate and some sort of concrete cloth right? I love how you hid the returns
