ATB FlowStar 1500 or Laguna Max-Flo 1500 ?

I have the Laguna pump up and running. It's really quiet and strong!!!! So no complaints from me. I have it plumbed into two returns and a manifold (carbon and gfo reactor) with a bunch of elbows and still getting good flow.

Sorry but this is the only pic I have of the pump at the moment. I can take a better pic when I get home.

I purchased the 3/4" Threaded click fitting, then attached it to a 3/4" thread x slip adapter, then to a 3/4" slip union. You can eliminate one fitting by just getting a threaded union and attaching it directly to the click fitting. I already had a slip union so I decided to put it to use.

No, you can throttle them back. They will actually use less watts the more they are restricted( as is with all centrifugal pumps.)

My 1500 on a killawatt meter is drawing 53 watts and the 900 is drawing 32 watts.
