You may have some issues front and back because your tank is 48". I don't think it quite spreads that far.

Thinking of getting the 54w model instead of the 80w for the dimmable T-5s--tank is 60" length. I have 60" reefbrites I'd like to mount for continued use. Anybody know of a way to mount them? I'm sure I can rig something up but don't want it to look like crap.

You wont get good front to back cover. Two standard 6 tube units would be great for your setup. If ATI had a 10 tube LED Powermodule that would have been a good unti for your tank.

Thanks , what wattage would u recommend for the six bulb

Hi, I had an idea I'm contemplating and would like some feedback from you guys.

I have a 36" wide tank I was thinking about getting a 24" 6 bulb dimmable ati and sticking 2 a160 kessils on either side and angling them inward. I can then get good t5 lighting with that kessil shimmer just not sure if it will fit on the tank up top. This setup is cheaper than an ati hybrid fixture too. What do you think?

I have not had that problem but have had a few other, 1 channel wouldnt dim at all so that was fixed with a replacement controller, the new controller had sticky buttons making manual operation very tricky. I could have dealt with that if the USB adaptor hadn't failed on me, it took 6 weeks to get a replacement USB adaptor however the one that arrived was different and whilst i no longer get the USB error in windows device manager it still doesn't work.

Its a real pity as when they are working they are the fantastic, definitely the best lights i have owned but reliability is a major concern, i have recently upgraded and when it came to deciding what light i would use i did even consider getting a 5 footer but my experience with the 4 footer has left me really disappointed with ATI, i wouldn't mind so much if i had a fully operational light i could move on and get some money back but right now that doesn't seem likely.

I hope you have better luck that i did.

And this is the very reason ATI Aquaristik has appointed another Distributor for the UK market place
Reef Quest Ltd
If you wish to email them at sales@reefquest.co.uk
I'm sure they'll assist you in every way they can with the parts you require

I have a standard 36" tank with the 36" Hybrid unit with 4 t5s and the fit is perfect. You have two sets of leds which are split very evenly over the tank. If you want a lot of shimmer, run the T5s at 50%. You also get cost-to-cost coverage which is great. The unit is expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Nice.

My new tank is waiting at the LFS: I'm just waiting to finish off a DIY project and will get the tank. After that I'll be ordering an 8x54watt LED Powermodule. :)
