ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Sahin, I didn't see you post when I responded. Thanks for putting all that down. Through trial and error, I came to basically the same steps, but sometimes crossing my fingers makes a difference. Also, I've tried switching USB posts and it's seemed to help.

No problem. :) Your input and experience is just as useful as mine. At least it shows that there is a possibility that it is a USB fault...

I've encountered such issues over the years when dealing with USB connectivity between different hardwares with Windows being the software behind the main computer. :D

Thanks for your help (excuse my english im french).
RTPARTY try to help me also with a PM.
I dont thick is the connection because if i save with a 4 led lamp configuration the save work all the time and on the power supply with the default config. its show me the status like if a have a 4 LED cluster. i will continu with RTPARTY on PM for not polute this thread. But for now i can work around the problem, if i configure like if i have a 4 leds cluster.

Good to hear Ryan is helping you out. :)

Everything is ok now, thanks to Ryan who help me a lot.
My default config was initialy set for a 4 LED cluster on the power supply.

At 50% my birds nest is continuing to bleach with these lights. I also just picked a beautiful acro that is yellow/green with beautiful blue tips. I have it raised off the sand bed about 4-5". The blue tips are slowly fading. It's been in the tank a week.

I'm not sure if it's the lights or water parameters? I would assume if it was the lights it would make sense the blue is fading and not turning a deeper blue ?

I guess even at 50% power for the LEDs is still too much? I think I'm going to drop them down to 35% and raise them up 5% per week.

Two things could be happening here:

1. Corals are bleaching due to intense light: reduce the light period and the intensity. Also ensure your fixture hangs at least 20cm above the tank...if this is possible.

2. Corals are losing colour due to water parameters? Corals are known to brown out etc when you get them new. But in this case you havent said that they are browning out...you're saying they are bleaching...

So, it sounds like paling out due to intense light.

FWIW I am running:

1. All 8 T5 tubes at 100%

2. Royal Blue LED @ 100%

3. Blue LED @ 45%

4. White LED @ 40%

I am not getting any bleaching, but I did slowly acclimatise my corals...and I previously had LED/T5.

I would go lower on the intensity and light duration and see what happens.

Sahin,

What intensity are your LEDs? I believe you've indicated the percentages the colors are mixed but not intensity levels.

Intensity is found on the graph. Color mixing is on the sliders.

You are quite right. Sorry I made things confusing.

The intensity is at 100% for the LED's. The Royal Blue is at 255 (hence I called that 100%), the other numbers are around 100 etc on the colour sliders hence I called them 45% etc.

I also run the T5's 7 hours for the outer 4 and 6.5 hours the inner 4. I do run quite a high PAR level...but my corals are used to the high PAR from my previous lights.

Thanks! That's a lot of light for sure!

When I first got the lights, which was only two weeks ago, I ran the LEDs at 100% intensity. since I was running 3 kessils over my tank I thought my corals would be used to high intensity LEDs. After a few days went by I noticed a few corals lightening so I lowered the LEDs to 70% After a few days I still noticed the corals continuing to bleach so I lowered to 50%

I have my lights 12" off the water and since I have the 60" fixture, my t5s do not dim. I think I will lower the LEDs to 35% The thing is, there are only a couple corals that are bleaching while others are striving. I may just risk it and let the couple corals fight thru the bleaching and see if they bounce back.

Same here on my 3ft. fixture, no matter which side, logo is always visible.

Hi mark sorry this message but I can't find the dimensions to this light on tai website and seen as you have this light maybe you could help me with this problem I have thanks

No problem, 34.25 in. x 20.25 in. x 2 in. ( LxWxH ) , it is very heavy, never really weighted it but about 30 Ibs at least.

Great thanks very much I thought it might be around 20in as the sun power 8x39 is 17.5in

Are you still using this light? If so are you happy with it and what's your bulb combo?

Yes, I am still using it and very happy with it. I run front to back:
ATI Actinic
KZ Superblue
KZ Superblue
GE 6500K
KZ New Generation
KZ Superblue
KZ Superblue
ATI Actinic

I run my T5 bulbs at 100% and Leds at 70% now. ( RB-225, B-100, W-80, R-40) Very happy with color I get. This is very powerful light, make sure you acclimate your corals.

Great thanks for that info mark ;)

Also can this complete light be controlled from it's built in computer or do you need to have a laptop to program it?

You can control it from its own controller but it is PIA, if you have PC or laptop it is a lot easier to download free program from ATI website and control it this way.

It is highly, highly, highly recommended that you never control from the box. Use a computer or you'll mess something up.
