ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Meant to say if you had the LED's at only 15% for example, it WOULDNT add too much PAR, so depending on PAR, you can run LED's as well, but proabbly dimmed way down to start with.

In any event, since ATI had designed the LED's with REFLECTORS, rather than lens, you wont get a hotspot of PAR immediately under the clusters. It is quite spread out.

Enjoy your new light. You have a nice unit. :)

Ok, thanks again. I saw your tank thread on UR and you seem to be having great success with this light, would you mind sharing your current profile, it will give me something to work towards

Cheers

Looks great. Question. How did you decide on tube choices?

To be fair this choice was made with 2 Aqua blue special as a backup from my previous fixture. Some people said this choice will be to purple or blue and you should choose growth bulbs (more with and blue) and use the LED for color. So if I think this is too much blue or purple I will add some white.

Furthermore I searched for similar 8 x T5 setups that I liked for example the "A Reef in the sky" combination.

Good luck!

Guys,

Just hung 4x4ft units and 2x3ft units. Great lights.
I have a slight problem that you might help me with?.....

I have programmed my t5's to come on channel 1 10am to 10pm and channel 2 12pm to 6 pm. When channel 2(outer set) of t5's, switch off, the inner set (channel 1) dims to about 30%, yet they should be at 100% and the controller reads 255.

Also on 1 of the units, 1 side of channel 1 remains at 100%, but the other pair on channel 1 are dimmed to 30% like the others.

The demo mode works fine, so all tubes/LEDs fire at 100%.

I have tried a hard reset, factory default reset, new programme, but this doesn't change the fault.

I thought it might be due to the burn in period required on the t5, but I all I can find is that all 6units have the same issue.

Channel 1 dims down when channel 2 goes out.....

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mo

Hi currently setting up a 400g tank, dimensions are 85 x 36 x 30. Decided to get these lamps, what should I get?? Two 36" or a 48" and a 36". Plan on being a sps dominant tank with some LPS and Zooas... Thanks

Mo, I'll PM you my email. You need to email me one of the programs downloaded from one of the units with the problem so that I can see if there is any programming issues etc.

If I find no fault with the daily program then you may need to contact ATI or your retailer, but lets eliminate the program first.

Thanks Sahin,

I have emailed ATI who are looking into it. It is a public holiday there today, so it will be a few days before I hear back. Appreciate your help.

I read somewhere that you need to burn in your tubes, or there could be dimming issues. Could that explain it?….

Cheers

I had a look at your light profile and couldnt find any issues with the light profile. It should function as you described in your earlier thread, so if there is dimming taking place when it should, then there is a hardware issue which I'm sure ATI will sort out.

Got mine today 8*24 1*75 LED, problem with resets clock to 8 a.m. I think ATI fix this problem, very disappointed

I have the same unit, if your controller resets to 8am everytime the power goes off it is not a fault.

Yes, if an internal clock battery had been added that would have been good, but your program/light profile isnt lost. It just means in the event of power loss you have to manually set the clock again. If you are away on holiday, this is not too much of a big deal, it just means the light will still run, but at a different time.

Dont be too disappointed, you have a VERY good light unit. I am redoing my tank currently and all my corals are with my buddies, but whilst the tank was running well, I was getting great colour in my SPS. :)

I would probably get two 36" units and space them equally over the tank. With 4 LED clusters between the two 36" units, and the T5's you will have no problem with adequate light coverage.

Remember that you cant just hang two units end to end against each other...there is the air vent on one side and then the cord on the other side...so you will be forced to allow for some gap between the two units anyway.

Hi Sahin!

I am agree the fixture is great. I am realy love it, but I am just disappointed that ATI don't fix that problem yet and I receive new fixture with new Led clusters, clips, but with old controller. Thinking to set up UPS to the controller:)
